Following Mike's lead on this one. My last for tonight.
I'd be interested to know the opinion of forum members as to which is the best version of this album. Curiously I never bought this on vinyl when originally released. Maybe that's because I was having trouble with the stylus jumping a lot on my BSR deck at that time.
I have the original CD release and the Definitive Edition Remaster as shown here, which is my preferred version. But I'd be interested to know what folk think of the 2008 remaster and, more particularly, the current 180g remastered vinyl editions.

I can't comment on vinyl but as far as CD's go, the Definitive Edition Remasters are the best IMO.

Ester' has the natural luck to be gifted with a fine singing voice.
Included is a superb version of Dimitri Tiomkin's 'Wild is the Wind' on Side B.
The David Bowie version just happens to be one of my favourite ever Bowie songs : )

Walt Dickerson Quartet - Impression of a Patch of Blue.
Just arrived today in the post from that famous Brazilian river...
CD of a Pink Floyd show in Chesterfield from 1969. Didn't even know I had it, and I'm pretty sure I've never heard it. Fair (for the time) audience recording.

Which version Kevin as there supposed to be 2 out there.
The one on Traders I think has been inactive for awhile but I know DIME still has it.
Kevin's posts above gave me some inspiration of what to listen to next.
This'll do nicely
Goldfrapp - Seventh Tree
I bought the vinyl from Oxfam. She has a great voice and there are some really good musicians doing the backing.

I downloaded it yonks ago Ewe, but I think it was the Dr Capybara one from Dime.

Walt Dickerson - To My Queen. 1996 OJC CD rip. 1962 RVG recording.
I was talking to my (Irish) mum earlier this evening, and Shane McGowan came up, I commented casually that he was one of the great lyricists. My (admittedly 94 year old) mum was surprised, she just thought he was a punk shouter. So when I came off the phone, I played this, I stay with my view, McGowan and the other Pogues are for me some of the finest singer/band songwriters of their era. Grownup songs, with an infectious punk/folk band.

Think I have the other version but haven't listened to it in awhile.
Vinyl, bought from the Muse cafe in Hebden Bridge, great place, Sid originally opened it as a second-hand record/CD shop, now his wife runs one half as a very nice cafe, while Sid plays CDs and sells them and records. About the album, 2 of the greatest musicians of my lifetime play Schubert lieder, if you like classical song, what's not to love?
