Robbie Williams, Life Thru A Lens, I like very little else by him and he does come across as an arrogant prat but this was a brilliant debut album and one I listened to at a very difficult time repeatedly.  Flac via Audirvana/Hugo

Great album, saw them again a while back and they are still as crazy as they ever were

Recorded over several days in 1958 & 1959, one of the finest cool jazz albums you will ever hear.

My first chance to listen to an album full of totally reworked ambient electronic and guitar tracks by Cousin Silas.

A great album, very delicate

Siouxsie and The Banshees. Superstition. On original CD from 1991. There's a definite ambient, electronic, atmospheric undertone to this album, yet still a pronounced pop/rock punch and interest. Well done and still sounds fresh.

Awesome album from '74 by Fela and his Africa 70 crew. One track spread over two sides - compelling and brilliant. On 2014 Knitting Factory vinyl reissue:

Just listened to the new Metallica album, amazing how these guys still can make an album which sounds fresh while it's in line with their heritage. While I am not a die hard fan, every now and then I like to hear it when I am in the right mood.

Now playing Phish Live in Utica. A jamband with some interesting material - while they have produced to much albums.....

Enjoying this album. Slightly (!) more upbeat then his last and a good listen. Strange SQ on some of the tracks (listen to the track 'Love and Hate' for a good example) - reminds me of an old cassette tape with bad speed stability...

Michael Kiwanuka - Love And Hate

Alva Noto - xerrox (Vol. 3)

Gently wistful, slightly glitchy electronics from Italy. Love his work with Ryuichi Sakamoto too.

A classic. Lady Writer is my favorite track.

Good psychedelic rock brought on by seeing Kevin playing Mirage earlier.

UK first vinyl pressing. Not sure how I feel about this one - it's the start of a very steep and extremely distressing decline (which was fortunately reversed early in the 21st century). Slick, very 80s, and pretty vapid, though it seemed like a good idea at the time. The LP's best cut, "China Girl", is still ace though.

Listening to this album via Tidal. First run. A bit in the style of Keith Jarrett and Brad Mehldua, I think.
