Fink - Fink's Sunday Night Blues Club.
Bought this, following a recommendation from Jeff Anderson, of this parish.
I posted it a couple of days back, but since I can't seem to stop playing it, it's well worth posting again.
Superb trance blues from a UK artist .................... a winner for all Otis Taylor fans ...................... it's on Tidal............ .....................go on, have a listen...............'s brilliant!
Have to share Chris's enthusiasm for this one, and as I mentioned, it's there on Tidal .......... go on, you won't regret it.
Classical guitar music. I don't listen to it that often, but I do like it.
Fink - Hard Believer.
Talking of Fink, (above), this one has just plopped through the letterbox, and is getting it's first play as we speak.
Again, a laid back bluesy groove going on ............. this guy is seriously good, can't believe I've only just discovered him.
Having spent a couple of hours in the garden this morning tidying a couple of the flowerbeds, I had to listen to Spring when I came in. It was sunny while I was outside, the early flowers are all out and the garden has that lively Spring freshness, so Vivaldi it had to be. I've always enjoyed this Kennedy performance, even with the few eccentricities, the energy suits the music for me.

Snap, listened to the very same this morning, also a fan of the Nigel Kennedy performance & spring is certainly well under way here. After that it was Miles Davis & 'Mellow Miles'.
The Gran Duo Concertante for two double basses and orchestra was composed by the Italian double bass virtuoso Giovanni Bottesini in 1880. The piece was premiered by Bottesini and Luigi Negri, a former classmate of the composer.
The Gran Duo Concertante is a single, sprawling movement and usually lasts around 15 minutes if played up to tempo, but this estimate can vary greatly due to the artists' interpretation of the music. While double concertos were generally composed for different instruments, Bottesini did not seem to consider the questionable practicality of a piece that requires two very talented double bassists. Camillo Sivori, a disciple of Niccolò Paganini, transcribed one of the bass parts for violin soon after its premiere. Sivori's version is that most commonly heard today, although his contribution is rarely acknowledged and even most bassists are unaware of the piece's original instrumentation.
Original Vinyl
My favourite EWF album

Russian Circles-Guidance
CD rip, WAV. I'd somehow forgotten about Danny Schmidt, but was reminded when I recently retagged all of my rips. He's a very intelligent songwriter, writes lovely folk songs, thoughtful lyrics, nice tunes, beautiful guitar playing with good support from the band. I really like the records quality, simple but very clear, with a beer in front of me, I could easily be in a folk club listening live, the guitar is especially well caught.

On vinyl... excellent album!!
Having got their last record after recommendation in this thread, I had a listen to some of this on a streaming service, then also bought the 3LP + 2CD set. I'm enjoying it too. Thanks for the original post.
New recording from Maestro Barrueco on Tonar...
Listening to the SACD layer of this miraculous recording of the St-Matthew Passion. A grower of a performance, of which I felt rather cool in the beginning. but it has now become my runaway favorite performance. Bernarda Fink isn't in freshest voice but the alternative would be not having her at all in this passion, so there.
Cheers
