(1970)
I had the track "Some Poor Soul" going around in my head so nothing else for it than to give this a whirl.
In my opinion their best album.
It's a mixture of jazz, fusion and smooth jazz but still clearly being jazz.
Arcade Fire: Funeral
Laura Shay - Blue Light Sessions.
Simply wonderful!
Everything But The Girl: Walking Wounded. CD ripped to FLAC, played as WAV. Just a superb album, love Tracey Thorn's voice. While working today I've really enjoyed listening to some albums which for one reason or other don't get played enough.
On CD:-
Anderson Ponty Band - Better Late THan Never
This....
Followed by this...
Both January 2016 Music Matters Blue Note reissues..
Also revisited this beautiful live album this afternoon..
Incredible passion and power from an old bloke with an acoustic guitar....

Live tracks from the Ozrics in Glastonbury and Reading in 1985 and 1986.
Not totally impressed...

More music recorded live, this one from a decade earlier. Playing CD1 of 2 ripped from a (1994) Definitive Edition remaster.
Vinyl
Why? I fancied some smooth pop.

I have this on a pre-recorded cassette released by the band around the same time.

Kate Rusty - Life in a Paper Boat.
Why? Because it is rather lovely.
Original vinyl (My cover is different)
New Order - Power, Corruption And Lies
Why? Keeping the 1980s theme

I used to have it on cassette too Steve, along with a few other cassettes of their early albums. Sadly long gone now but at least I've got that music back via 6 CDs from the box set "Vitamin enhanced" containing their early stuff.

A great trio with a fresh take on Morricone....
1989 - Vinyl...
Continuing to delve into the Ryan Adams collection. CD rip. One of his most "countryfied".
2017 slightly warped vinyl, but a superb clean recording. Currently bargain priced in the rainforest.
One I bought a while ago, then forgot about. I thought it was time for a folky evening.
