On bright orange coloured vinyl from the boxset

Panorama was just about okay if not perhaps a little disappointing following to their fine debut album and the superb Candy-O, however i'm really enjoying 'shake it up' albeit typical pop-style from the early 80s era : )

Harry Manx - Wise and Otherwise.

I am unfamiliar with this gentleman so thanks to Stevee for introducing him and thanks to Ewemon for suggesting this particular album as a starting place.

A wonderful musician and a pretty good singer, I am impressed. This album shows off HM's abilities with a number of instruments and has a few musical influences throughout but mostly underpinned by a blues vibe. Very interesting and very original.

This is on Tidal and I would recommend a listen.

Thank you all for this recommendation. I've had 'Mantras for Madmen' and other HM albums for some time, but was unaware of this beauty.

Copy duly ordered via Discogs.

John.

If we're talking dodging between genres, then I'll raise you a ZZ Top, and see you with this ..............

Kodo - Blessing Of The Earth.

Want to test your system?

Nothing better than some heavy duty Japanese drumming ...........boom boom!

Never ever been in the Goldfrapp gang on here, so, for an outlay of 1p, plus postage, from the rainforest place, thought I'd see what all the fuss was about.

Goldfrapp - Black Cherry.

Oo'er missus, a bit good innit ................. have to spend some more pennies on the back catalogue.

It's so easy for stuff to simply be under the radar, only really noticed the Frappmeister on Jools Holland last night.

So................ just ordered most of the oldies at 1p each ........... bargain!

I know, strictly speaking, it's the Frappmistress, but, hey.

A lovely album and my favourite until I discovered The Girl in the Other Room.

The Frapmaniacs club didn't seem to work for me, despite my best efforts. But Gong hasn't let me down yet!

Lee Morgan - The Rajah. CD rip. Rec. 1966, lost then found 1984 and released 1985! Nice band with Hank Mobley, Cedar Walton, Paul Chambers and Billy Higgins.

Having just seen them play live.  Storm Large does an awesome job of filling Forbes boots and them some.

Lee Morgan - The Sidewinder. RVG CD rip. Rec 1963. It was a big seller when released by Blue Note in 1964.
