What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol. XIII)

2017 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread can be found here;
Charlie Worsham - Rubberband
Probably best described as Country-Pop, this is not the most thought-provoking or earnest of albums but it is fun and uplifting, putting a smile on my face. And sometimes that is all you need!
'Tis on Tidal.
John Hiatt - "Crossing Muddy Waters" (2000)

Funnily enough I was playing his latest album yesterday.
From the 'Searching for the Spark' box set. All 22 titles ripped to the NS01 last night. This was the first album played this evening. It's a beautifully packaged set. Looking forward to reading the books as I listen to the music.

Because its great music to relax with and Tunde's voice is just superb.

No coincidence really as I was looking for your posting of CW's album on Tidal which, as it Is new, is not on Tidal yet, but I found this and gave it a whirl. Quite enjoyed it too.
Grandaddy - Just Like the Fambly Cat
Following a cheeky half after work with a new friend.

It's taken a while but this is definitely starting to grow on me. Tidal.
Achille-Claude Debussy (1862-1918): Jean-Efflam Bavouzet (piano)
Complete Works for Piano, Volume 3
Bavouzet's Debussy is such a solid recording. If not the best, it is certainly in the top three of complete Debussy sets for piano.
It is often so easy to overlook the smaller works among Debussy's oeuvre and so today, after getting a warmup from Nino Gvetadze, I specifically am finding the discs devoted mainly to this cause. If you look at the track listings basically much of this is the Debussy that I spend my teenage years with. My teacher was a Haydn and Debussy fanatic from what I remember and so I too am very found of Debussy and these pieces that probably are not on very many peoples radar these days.
Playing this vinyl album again this evening. Boy, this is Aimee Mann at her best again. Super album.
I don't realy like jazz, but I do like this.
I've been playing this daily for a while now and haven't got bored yet. Great songs with a lot of depth, great playing & production. A really good listen. Tidal.
Richard and Linda Thompson - First Light
Good tunes, before bed. Their voices fit.

He of Canned Heat. Basically a comp of Canned Heat trax but nonetheless an excellent one
Jazz ?, more like world music, but nice...

One of my all time favourite albums, probably because it evokes so many happy memories of my youth - and because Ms Armatrading is a fine artist IMHO.
Joshua James My Spirit Sister.
