Boston. Eponymous debut from 1976. Finally got Ovator S-400s home for a demo and playing some familiar oldies to help get my ears adjusted to them.

More Berlin School, the last of their Ouddorp trilogy that started back in 2011. Great dark sounding, bass heavy synthesisers kick this off and then keep the theme going.

Green Day. Warning (2000 release) on transparent Coke-bottle green vinyl from 2009. If you happen to like GD and use a TT this LP is a huge SQ upgrade in DR from the CD. You might say OMG.

Their finest I reckon. Lovely melodies. On the black stuff.

First, Dan Arborise - Of Time & Tide

Songs of the universal, of love and place and time and beauty.

Now, Eric Clapton - I Still Do

A middle-aged man reacquaints himself with the 461 and Backless of his late teenage years. And I don't mean Clapton's.

LP - rise above records © 2012 : )

Louis Comfort-Wiggett - bass and vocals
Bill Darlington - drums and percussion
Johnny Gorilla - guitar and lead vocals
Jay Darlington - organ
Reverend TS McPhee - slide guitar

Recorded at Foel Studios July/August 2011
Remixed by Ed Turner Feb 2012
Mastered by Jaime Arellano at Orgone Studios

Those darn Jackdaws are back in their determined and bird brained effort to nest in my chimney, the fire is lit yet again, and the Budgie is employed to help on cranked volume to persuade the crows to roost elsewhere.

I'm surprised Jaime Arellano has the nerve to show his name on the LP inner cover after balls-upping the mastering - a more feathered hands off approach would have sufficed. Perhaps he went to the meddling muck-up mastering school of Jimi Page...?

I am in the mood for some Art Pepper music.

This is Art Pepper with an 11 piece bigband. Great arrangements. Art Pepper plays most of the solo's.

great arrangement of Moon River (probably done by Wayne Shorter).  Love this album!
