2017 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.

Just get a listen to Alvin Lee's great sounding guitar.
2017 Music Matters Reissue Vinyl..
I before recommended this artist already. At work today I had a further listen to his other albums. Magic is another interesting album, do. have a listen....
This is also a great album...
Bert - Loved Sean Rowe's New Lore album you recommended so I am Tidalising these two as we speak (well, as we post).
In a jazz quartet I usually prefer that it's based on a piano being present. It's not that a dislike a quartet without a piano. I just like it more when their is a piano. However, their are always exceptions. Like this one. What a great playing by this quartet.
Original vinyl
Why? I fancied some classy soft rock guitaring.

I was following the recent frequent post on Art Pepper, and thought I also contribute, however decided after 15 minutes in that's not an Art Pepper evening for me, sorry guys...
So I switched to something I bought this weekend, more to what I am looking for right now....

How do you like it Bert? This one is on my shopping list.

Fink - Hard Believer.
This guy has been completely under my radar until now.

Was on Tidal, last time I looked.

I've also been having a look at the Art Pepper posts. This is one of the albums that first got me seriously interested in jazz as a callow youth (released in 1975, first heard by me on BBC R3 in 1976 IIRC) . One for later, I think......
The Art Pepper meets the rhythm section is very probably my all time favourite jazz album.
This one could hardly be more different. It's not that immediately accessible but it's grown on me a lot and I really like it.
Nine Inch Nails - Things Falling Apart. A little Trent energy to help push a project along while working late tonight.

That's a good idea I may well get some NINs out later tonight.
Original (thick as a plate) vinyl
Why? Another croaky singer.

It's different from his earlier albums, varied and will require some additional spins to fully appreciate it. But starting to like it....
3 of Handel's Chandos Anthems, BBC Radio3 FLAC trial, PC via BLuetooth to NDX. I only went to this to have a quick listen to the SQ, I'm gripped enough that I'll listen to the whole concert.
One of the best albums of 2016. Different from early Cohen, but so good...., I am now very excited with the album coming out soon....., can potentially lead to a dissapointment as the bar is very high with this album.
On CD:-
