Down By The Jetty (Debut 1975 UK 13-track vinyl LP, recorded in mono by default! This is not the best sounding Feelgood record in my collection..

Calexico - Carried to Dust.  CD rip.

Shaking off some early January blues - this is doing the trick .

Another splendid Jordi Savall/LCdN hybrid SACD - this time J-B Lully:

Kevin,

No excuses (unless I am allowed to use the new German word I learnt on the forum "Verschlimmbesserungen") but somehow I missed the recent performance of Jordi Savall at the University of  Chicago.

I will join you with my favorite among my Aliavox, a swinging disc recommended by Huw:

Forgot about this classic on CD.  Controversially, I prefer the 2002 remaster.

Stumbled across this on Tidal. Sounds like a band my grandparents would listen to. I like it.

Returning to work tomorrow so drowning my sorrows with a glass of Red and this.

As i've mentioned before, i need to be in the right mood for a lot of her work, so this is always first choice if i want a PJ Harvey fix.

This thread does allow me to build a good playlist - 'One World' added - thanks Dave

A real favourite from last year - her albums just get better and better (although i still haven't fully warmed to 'The Absence) so i'm looking forward to what Ms Gardot will come up with next...

(March 2016)

One of my favourite 2016 albums, psychedelic 60s west coast rock sounds, thanks again to Bruce Woodhouse for highlighting this album so eloquently a few months ago.

I haven't checked if it is on Tidal or not but it is on bandcamp.

Saw them in Chicago but that was without China Forbes who had to take time off (due to surgery) and their group incorporated the whole Grant Park orchestra. On that night  their voice signature was missing, or in other words, they weren't pink enough.
