Sometimes nothing but a bit of Zeppelin will do and this is one of the classics.
Definitely!

Yep. Have had the Close Up series for sometime, Nigel. And I seem to recall you suggested it to me. It's a delight and a lovely complement to her earlier albums.
I would say I'm a bigger fan of SV than Ms Jones, but I do enjoy the 'relaxed, lazy, jazz..' style of Come Away With Me, as Mike-B so accurately encapsulates it.
Ah, ok. In which case try this. Relaxed, jazzy and rather wonderful.

Now that lady is completely new to me. Thanks, Nigel. Will give her a go (if you'll pardon the expression).

Joining Clive in a bit of Camel, this release has 5 bonus tracks including 3 live and (then 2002) previously unreleased ones from Hammersmith Odeon on the night of 14th April '76.
Oh dear! It looks like I'm going to have to get that on CD as well! This is possibly my favourite Camel album of those I've heard (I've not heard them all).
2004 - CD (WAV)...
Can't leave Steve to enjoy Camel on his own:
The very best of pop 1984 - 85. Some cheesy 80s music to pass the time. Flying to Kraków at 4am so unlikely to sleep tonight. Flac via Audirvana/Hugo
2002 - CD (WAV)...
U2 Joshua Tree: inspired by the tour announcement. Still froths my stout!
Early Monk, best of the Blue Note years:
Covering his bebop-era work from the late '40s and early '50s, the 16-track collection finds Monk in his early prime with such up-and-coming jazz standards as "Ruby, My Dear," "In Walked Bud," "'Round Midnight," and "Straight No Chaser." And unlike much of the pianist's later work on Riverside and Columbia, here the sound is compact and fleet, with some of the best solos to be heard on any classic bop date.

It took 40 years due to technical issues with syncing the audio to the film, but it is FINALLY done - listening to the CD soundtrack that came with the DVD - Zappa Roxy the Movie.
I think this time period was his best band - just stellar talent top to bottom.
Paul Simon. The Rhythm Of The Saints. On original CD from 1990. A creative mix of pop and southern-hemisphere beats with a spiritual texture to much of the music. Expertly crafted with the all the usual superb Simon SQ.
During workout, stripped can also be nice....
Vivid, insightful, reflective reportage from reporter Matthew Price at Southampton General Hospital, on the Today programme at 8.10am. Who would have thought that such reportage would provide such good radio. (winks).

A delightful blend of Baroque music and Latin American folk. The Saldivar Codex No. 4 was written in Mexico c.1730 by a Spanish emigre, Santiago de Murcia, but only discovered in recent times. It features elements of Spanish Baroque, central-American folk music, and some French influences.
Rolling Stones - Blue & Lonesome
Dirty, low down, grinding blues with elevenses on a day off.

Stonesy Dave, there's only one thing more addictive than a like from you for an occasional Stones post of mine... and that's Charlie's right foot going down!

Why? Undoubtedly due to the influence of my last Spanish style of music played. This impressive DG double album remastered in 24/96 from the original master tapes boasts an impressive dynamic range (DR) of 17 on some tracks and only slight hiss from these recordings, some of which were laid down in the early fifties.
Cavern Of Anti-Matter - Blood Drums
This is a reissue of Tim Gane's new band's (after Stereolab retired) album from 2013 - originally a limited edition LP. Now available as a triple LP, CD, download. Bleep have the lot.
Sonically it's short form motorik krautrock laced with a tinge of modern electronica, and it's completely the dog's danglies. No video to show from it sadly, but here's a fairly shonky clip of a track live...doesn't do it justice as the album version has great thwack (24 bit download).
