I am leaving it to you. Two pianos are a bit too much for me. The guy I am really interested in hearing is Yefgeny Sudbin.
Haim,
He was in Chicago in 2015 played Rach No.1. Did you go?
Unfortunately, he's not in next season's program.

Some lovely downtempo electronic trip-hop.
The Silver Seas - Chateau Revenge!
Poppy and melodic with loads of hooks. Perfect before shift.

I really liked Alaska so good to spot this.
Chateau Revenge appears to be in two versions-red and blue. One acoustic I think. Which do you suggest?
Bruce
Ah Bruce. I didn't know of the two versions. Mine is red. It's electric.
I found Alaska a bit bland but maybe I haven't given it much of a chance. Their first album was another good one.

What I call uncomplicated and nice music. Not too demanding. Fits the bill some days.
Have you heard 'Blind Pilot's albums? First was the best probably. Not million miles away from Alaska. Josh Rouse solo albums of course too-he was an occasional member of The Silver seas I believe.
Bruce
Thanks Bruce, I will check out Blind Pilot. Josh Rouse I love, and will give him a spin after work. Didn't know of the Silver Seas connection.
C.
I think Josh Rouse 'Nashville' is excellent. Some of the others are easy on the ear but unremarkable however I do like '1972' a lot.
Blind Pilot 3 Rounds and a Sound good place to start with them.

The new one from Big Big Train, Grimspound. Only 2 tracks into it so far but, IMHO, a significant improvement over their last offering. More rock and less folk. I'll have to give it a couple of plays before deciding how it ranks up again EE1/2 (both excellent).

Try DayDream Nation, a double album from 1988 - it's their masterpiece! EVOL and Sister are also very good.
Working through these albums, very good. The emphasis on the guitar rifts has hooked me.
On 1970s vinyl. Because listening to top-notch doo-wop is better than doing some work...

Staying with Art Pepper
Classic Records 200g vinyl reissue from the late 90s. After PG, my favourite LZ album, and sonically, it is perhaps the most interesting, with all that use of forward echo, distortion, electronics etc
