Joan Shelley. Relaxing listening for after a hard days work. Her 4th album and produced by Jeff Tweedy
Last for awhile tongiht.
The latest War on Drugs release for RSD.
Stunning bit of music bodes well for the new up and coming album.
They are touring again later this year thinks it starts in Sept so album should be out about then.

both on CD. I must be in a morose mood yet whilst both albums are downtempo and deeply moving I feel uplifted, especially by the climax of the latter.
I think it must be time for this now;
My first Beatles album bought very many years ago on vinyl, of course, and still my favourite, though now on CD.
Is it classical? Is it ambient? I dunno.
Interesting xchange between these two gentlemen, sounds also quite decent....
Now changed to something modern, piano center stage...
Having thoroughly enjoyed Abbey Road, I couldn't resist digging out my second favourite Beatles album
Jarrett/ Haden - Last Dance
It seems to be a tad early for last dancing anyone. Better to say the shift is over and I'm dancing around the kitchen....

WAV CD rip. Isserlis is a great cellist, and these are two fantastic 20th century concertos. I'd need to go to the cupboard to check the cover, but I'm pretty sure his hair was darker when he recorded the CD.
Metallica-...And Justice For All
given the new Contour C20 a proper beating, I mean break in. Loud!
Nils Petter Molvær - Switch
I'm calling the louder passages a gasket check on the SBLs. (They pass).

One of the great English singer-songwriters, sadly died very young. Her last solo album, often criticised for being very '70s production and hiding the beauty of her songs, I still love it. One Way Donkey Ride is a great Sandy original, for me she nails Silvet Threads and brings out its poignancy, even if it's her weakest album, it's a wonderful piece of music. I'm a Dreamer is playing and beautiful, what a loss she was.
Last one for the evening....
Heifetz, Reiner, Brahms Violin Concerto. Sounding absolutely stunning. My NAP500, back from Naim and newly serviced and DR'd 2 days ago. So far, no sign of Any of the well documented burn in issues, just incredible, communicative, authorative, delicious music whatever I play. Wow...
WAV CD rip.
Why should you care? If you know the album, you know why, if you don't, some of the greatest early '70s songs sung by the writer, who is a great singer.
