Wow, I played this in the last few weeks, I'd have bet I was the only person on the forum who had it or had listened to it in years. As a friend of mine once said after a bottle of claret and listening to this, "Ah, Das ist Berlin". (Given he was born in Florida and brought up in London, albeit of German parentage, a bit pretentious which is probably why it stuck with me.)
There are a few of us that I've seen playing it on here but it's not often seen I grant you. I only have it on CD but it was obviously very well recorded and sounds mighty fine with a good dynamic range on the original '88 Decca CD.

Sticking with female voices and this one is fun.
Looks interesting - who is that please Steve ?
James
Sorry James my fault, she is Barbra Lica a Canadian lass, you can listen on Tidal I think. Cheaper to buy as a Bandcamp download.
Vinyl, pressing from the early '80s. Another of the albums that could easily have made it into my 20 most played on that thread, an album with a good claim to be the finest live rock album ever. Between this and Pronounced (with the other early albums), I've must notched up thousands of listening hours since I found Skynyrd during A Levels or early degree in the start of the '80s. Southern rock at its best. A fantastic rhythm section, excellent piano as rhythm and lead, they added a third top rank guitarist to their already amazing pair of Rossington and Collins, and Ronnie van Zant as a charismatic and musical vocalist. Add to that a set of songs that boogie while being lyrically strong, and finish with Freebird, you get a set of gigs I'd love to have a time machine to get to.
Tina May is a superb jazz vocalist, probably not that well known. Enrico Pieranunzi is one of my favourite jazz pianists. Put them together...

More wonderful female vocals, this collection takes you through those early hits and finishes with her getting back to her Jazz and blues roots.

Her first album was the very first CD I ever bought .......... "All Cried Out" remains one of my favourite Alison songs .................. so,
Have a listen to this ..........(if you haven't already ......... I know, I know, I've posted this one several times!)

His version of "All Cried Out" .............. brilliant! IMHO, of course.

Cheers Dave your'e a star! I do know it and I've stuck it into the playlist for later.
Oh well, that reminds me, and why not?
I was a bit late to the party as far as this chap is concerned, but now, I think he's just brilliant.
Fink - Hard Believer. Fink - Fink's Sunday Night Blues Club.
Two albums which, together with the one mentioned above, have gone straight onto my Desert Island Discs playlist.
And ........... they're on Tidal too!
My favorite Beethoven symphony, nr 6....
Tidal (I seem to have misfiled the vinyl and a quick search couldn't find it, I will take 10 minutes out some time to track it down.)
Triggered by a post on the concerts thread, one of his Bobness's greatest albums, fantastic songs with a driving beat.
Mark Lanegan Band - Gargoyle.
This plopped through the letterbox today, so, I'm off to the music room for a long listen.
Mark, along with the usual suspects, Josh Homme, Greg Dulli and Duke Garwood ....... first listen suggests that he's cheered up a bit!
Nighty night.
Still amazing, ....
Good late-evening, weekday music (or any day really). CD rip.
Absolutely lovely album.
Anouar Brahem Trio - Astrakan Cafe
Just seems right for this time of the evening.
C.
Back to work tomorrow so this seemed quite appropriate.
Elbow - Build A Rocket Boys !
