"For this, their 6th studio album, iconic rockers Garbage make the bold move to forgo digital technology and return to the sound of the first 2 albums. As a result, "Strange little birds" is their most invigorating, primal, and engaging record since their seminal 1995 self-titled debut. The sound is purposely rough around the edges, but this time they seem to have focused on the sentimentality that is to be found aplenty in the introspective and vulnerable lyrics. Frontwoman Shirley Manson has stated that all the songs, from a lyrical standpoint, come from hot spots in her romantic history. Which only enhances interest in witnessing some the band's most personal moments to date, particularly on some stunning ballads." - An Amazonian's Comment (Scarlet Jupiter)
Tom Petty. Full Moon Fever. On original CD from 1989. Petty's solo debut. Where are The Heartbreakers? Well, some of them are there as are some of The Traveling Wilburys. All makes for an excellent album.
