On vinyl and sounding sublime
Graham,
Do you have your Vulkan up yet and what did you think of the Tranquility?
One can tend to forget just how good Them were such has it been overshadowed by Van's solo output. This is an excellent colelction of nearly everything they ever did with amazingly few duds.

Steely Dan - Gouco (Vinyl)
Lambert, Sweet Apocalypse via Tidal.
Piano lead vision of the end of the world. Interesting concept that works very well.
Willie Nelson-God's Problem Child
so good.
This arrived in the post today:
A relaxing start to the day
Today on R4. Two blokes arguing the toss about the EU. I've just heard the phrase, 'Frankly I won't take lectures from you'.
So I've put a CD in the player.
Gilles Peterson in Brazil - the ClĂ ssico disc. Harmony restored.

Sounds like a good enough reason to switch to Radio 3 - on FM, of course.
I might have ,Clive, but the Building a Library programme coming up bores me and would mean getting out of the bath to find something else.
Mind you I would have done if it was Elizabeth Alker.

Sampling this one on Tidal
Katrina & The Waves - Walking on Sunshine - Greatest Hits.
The sun's trying it's best to get out here in North Yorks. ................... let's give it some encouragement with some bouncy, happy choons.
Sampling - interesting different trio...
Difficult to place this music. Is it jazz, is it electronic....., clear is that it grooves like hell....
On vinyl. Going to see him tonight.
I finally managed to edit the tags properly on the free download so that I can now play this through the NDS, which is a lot more convenient for casual listening than playing the vinyl. This really is a wonderful album.
Jimmy Reed - Five Classic Albums + Singles.
Yet another quality 4 X CD remastered set from Real Gone Music.
All the Jimmy Reed you'll ever need.
Paul Weller
A Kind Revolution (Deluxe) 24bit 44.1 Wave
First proper listing and it is a good one, this will get many plays.
