What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol. XIII)

2017 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread can be found here;
CD - 1992
Something light to start the weekend and recorded during their "not so semi" acoustic European tour.
The late, great Dame's final EP, on one-sided etched vinyl. No excuse for it really.
(2009)
A change of tack, playing ripped CD 1 of 2 of these boys 70s sessions.

Tidal A+
Interesting voice and songs
Another one outside my comfort zone, tidal discovery
Tina Brooks (tenor saxophone) isn't that well known. And that's a pity, because he has made some good albums. This one was recorded in 1958 but was for some reason not released before 1980.
First listen
An old album but newish to me....and I'm liking it.
My weekly Big Lots soiree turned up something I would not have expected to see there at all this week:
Check out "out of time" oriental version, so nice

After a week in London on business, nice to be back to my music (and cellar). Thanks to Dave Marshall for sharing this on the thread, I'd somehow missed it, and it arrived while was away. Ripped to WAV, playing now, amazing guitar playing and musicality as you'd expect from 2 masters, lovely artist interactions between songs, Blues at Sunrise is on now, and I'm not sure which superlative to use, I might just stick with masterful. Thanks again Dave, a regular play from now on.
Harold Budd - Abandoned Cities. Very dark and totally devastating. Long synth notes with Stratocaster power chords, on "Dark Star". Wonderful.
Stones - Blue & Lonesome
With a Moretti after the Mother Of All Shifts.
Streaming ripped CD. Robin has released a few really good bluesy CDs in recent years but this one is particularly strong and his vocals are getting stronger.
More guitarists, 3 this time. I don't think I picked this in my 20 most listened to, but I could have easily, it's been on the turntable hundreds of times and the occasional digital play as well. 3 masters of their instruments, having fun, showing off, but also really interacting and playing music beautifully. A joyous album.
192/24 WAV. Nice!
