2017 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread can be found here;

2014 - CD - Run The Jewels 2...
Last of the vinyl for the evening. Bella (my cat) has now forgiven me for being away for a week and putting her in the cattery and is purring/snoring on my lap. When this finishes I'll disturb her, take the album off, and then it's streaming to let her stay on me without disturbance,
Lovely piece of early Adams, I've only played Fearful Symmetry, minimalism with sophistication, great drive and beat, but also complex music well played, love it.
1993 - vinyl - UK pressing...

(2017)
Over three and a half hours long this "collaboration of suites" is too much (for me) to bite off in one listen, so I'm exploring the first hour which is Boson Spin's work to be followed at a later time by Cousin Silas's contribution and then the others. (Longform ambient electronic soundscapes and drone)
"When Glenn first spoke of his "suite of suites" I was intrigued. I love the concept of collaboration and was eager to hear what he and his collaborators - Boson Spin, our own Cousin Silas, and musical polymath Candy L - would bring to the party. I was not disappointed.
Deep, dark (in places), and deliciously enthralling; this is an album of more that its constituent parts ... one that works on so many levels.
I'm grateful to Glenn for bringing this album to weareallghosts, it is so in keeping with our ethos."

The Joe Gastwirt remaster sounding fine.
Favourite version of my favourite Dead song - Eyes of the World, with the great Branford Marsalis on sax.
