Just given this a spin so to speak also
This is turning into a wonderful Ives series from Morlot and the Seattle band. Beautiful live recordings on their own label...
Vinyl, last album before I go out. Continuing the unintended J theme, Jackie, Joni & Jaco, now Jimi. Some of his finest songs, one hell of a power trio, after 50 years Jimi's playing still seems other-worldly, the main thing is it's great music.
Listening via Tidal to Dutch jazz singer Fay Claassen. She is accompanied by Cor Bakker (piano), Peter Tiehuis (guitar) and Theo de Jong (bass).

Vinyl, with a big rip on the cover where I not very successfully removed a CBS Nice Price £2.99 sticker about a third of a century ago, still plays wonderfully.
My favourite of all Joni's albums, perhaps her finest poetry, her voice on fine form, beautiful jazz-tinged songs framing the poetry, a fantastic band, with incredible interplay between Joni's guitar and Jaco Pastorious's bass on several numbers.
If you've not heard it, you must have a listen to 'Shadows and Light', which is a live recording taken from the tour promoting Hejira. I think I prefer it to the studio album. Again a brilliant band with Michael Brecker, Jaco Pastorious, Pat Metheny, Lyle Mays, Don Alias.
Dave Gunning - Lift
Not the best voice in the world but it has a rawness that is perfectly suited to this style of music which I can only describe as country with folk influences.
If that's of interest you can sample this one on Tidal.
1974 - vinyl - U.K. Pressing...
Recorded live in 1973 at the Carnegie Hall. Superb voice range.
Just coming out of a very satisfying room acoustics adjustment session....., so I need to play my standard...
1978 - Vinyl - U.K. First pressing...
Sounding quite superb at the start of this weekend...

Once again dredging up an oldie and this one was nicely remastered in '99.
A journey through space and time, to the very dawn of The Floyd:

Brings back memories of the scratch and sniff ganja sticker it was originally issued with.

Yes, Ewe. I heard he was also heavily involved in the "production" of the album.

This one is nicely recorded with good SQ and more importantly has SRVs great 8 minute version of Hendrix's Voodoo Chile (with slight return).
Time for Art Pepper again.
1970 - vinyl - U.K. First pressing...
It was either this one or The Smoker You Drink...
It's all Walsh in the end and this is my favourite JG album.
Josh Rouse - Nashville
With a cuppa, just in.
Inspired by James.
Melody Gardot - Worrisome Heart
Nice.
