Wingspan. Hits And History. On 2CD from 2001. Some people want to fill the world with silly love songs. What's wrong with that?
Aaagghh, I know what my earworm is for today now. I'll be OK as long as I don't start humming it tunelessly on a conference call.
What a way to start the day !
Part of a stack of vinyl my lovely wife has presented me for my birthday. Which is nice

Do you know the S. Schepkin recording?
The Sensational Alex Harvey Band - 5 Classic Albums. Free - 5 Classic Albums.
Two new arrivals today, ripped and playing ............. and at two squid each album, from The Rainforest, why on earth not?
I have heard many different versions of Bach's Goldberg Variations. This one is a bit strange. It's by the Uri Caine Ensemble. It starts with the Aria played by just a (digital or modified) piano. In the first variation a Cello is added, in the second variation a Trumpet is added. At some point is becomes Dixie land music and then a Gospel singer sings a variation. A lot of variations.
During the whole CD you will hear beautifull played classical music, in a Baroque style but also in a more modern 20th century style. You will hear very nice improvised jazz music. And sometimes is becomes just plain weird. All based on the goldberg variations.
This will never be my go to Goldberg Variations, but it is interesting to listen to one in a while.
It's available on Tidal.

No, I don't. I'll check it out. Thanks for the suggestion. Regards, Jeroen.
1981 - U.K. Vinyl
Because it's a beautiful day out there....
1972 - CD(1986)
Eat a Peach...
A nice bit of rawk to get me started.
great recording from Maestro O'Dette...
Yello - Pocket Universe.
Dieter and Boris in trance dance mood .............. most excellent album .............. pennies from The Rainforest.
Been experimenting with yon Tellurium enhancement CD ................. Yello have never sounded better ................ or is that just me?
Not actually this version, but this concert. First time I played this I was disappointed by the SQ. Suddenly it seems rather better, although I am playing it at a more realistic level today.
Nice full sound...
Z Z Top - El Loco.
Some laid back Texas blues from the Tops .................. just the thing with a cold beer, towards the end of a hot, sunny afternoon.

Tom Adams - Silence
I can't remember who recommended this but it is wonderful.
If you are in the mood to relax and let music wash over you, then give this a go.
Not every bodies album. But special on 1st run...
Sergey Schepkin - Bach, the six Partitas (via Tidal).
Based upon a tip from Ragman.
Sergey Schepkin plays the partitas at a higher pace then others (e.g. Hewitt, Schiff). With some pieces I found that refreshing (e.g. the Prelude and Allemande of Partita 1). And with some pieces I found it to fast, as if he was rushing it (e.g. the Corrente and Sarabande of Partita 1). Sergey does play the ornaments (sometimes) differently then others, which is a nice change.
Overall I found this a good performance but a bit to fast for my taste.
Z Z Top - One Foot in the Blues.
Billy giving the Les Paul a proper spanking ........................... so, opened another cold one ........................blimey, 's hot innit?

I hate it when they do that, seems churlish to refuse.

Nah, you had it right the first time "She who invariably / instantly / inevitably, (choose your own most appropriate), must be obeyed".
No need for the subsequent edit.
Bought this triple CD today. Great SQ, even better music (a superb previously unreleased "Dark Star"), rather cheap packaging. God, I love the Dead. Can't wait to see the film on Amazon prime next week...
