This is a very fine album. Very gentle piano playing on top of a driving rhythm section, give it a try......, recommended for people who like modern gentle trio jazz....

Tom Adams - Silence

I can't remember who recommended this but it is wonderful.

If you are in the mood to relax and let music wash over you, then give this a go.

I believe that this is another great recommendation from Bert Schurink.....

Yes, I hope to find more for you guys...

Great shout Bert. Listening to this totally relaxed is a little surreal - unlike any other musical experience. Go on, give it a go, it is on Tidal and sounds wonderful.

WAV CD rip. I don't play the Choral anywhere near as often as I should, I love Harnoncourt's cycle, I know others prefer slower tempi, this works for me. Oddly enough for the 9th I prefer the 1973 Karajan, but this cycle is my favourite for the others.

Nostalgiia evening tonight

Probably my favourite posthumous JH release. "Pali Gap" is just sublime.

WAV CD rip. A great singer-songwriter guitarist, 1st song is a great ballad, the last is a wonderful tribute to his guutar predecessors, the rest are just normal RT excellent songs. I'm seeing him twice this year, once at a festival, once in a concert hall, they'll both be great gigs.

prompted by the French film Diva & the La Wally aria.....nice early days of French cinema (for me) and probably an inspiring introduction to opera..
