A + 3 | WAV

(1968)

Another one that kicked me off, shaping my early musical preferences, an iconic late 60s 'psychedelic underground West Coast' sound the title track still terrific to this day.

Juju - In Trance  .......................  (Justin Adams & Juldeh Camara).

OK Steve, I'll see your "Desert Road", and raise you an "In Trance" ................. simply more great trance desert blues from Justin Adams.

Clapton - Just One Night

Old faithful.

I'm not enough of an afficianado to know but he seems to me to be at the top of his game.

JadeJacksonGildedI don't often post in this thread, but felt compelled to do so after hearing this at the weekend. I saw it on Tidal, had heard a bit about her, thought I'd give it a listen, not expecting much. Before the end of the album I'd already gone off to download the Hi Res version I liked it that much!

I thoroughly recommend this album to anyone that likes country rock / Americana, as well as anyone that likes Social Distortion (Mike Ness has helped to mentor her and she also supported Social D from what I read).

Give it a go, you won't regret it!

I have had it for a couple of weeks and found it gets better with each play as I didn't really enjoy it first time out.

If you like this try the first couple of Kathleen Edwards albums as you may like them

No, only joking, as I'm off to the music room now to  listen to the latest Fink choons I've just acquired.

Fink -Wheels Turn Beneath My Feet.                                                                 Fink's Sunday Night Blues Dubs.

An absolutely stunning live album.                                                                    Dub versions of five tracks from the much loved "Blues Club"

Rediscovering an early purchase in my CD collection - from 1990.  It must be over 10 years since I last listened to this.   A reminder of how good Chandos recordings from that time were.

Wander This World - Jonny Lang

I was fortunate to see Jonny live during his early years. Gifted with an incredible skills to sing and play the blues from a very young age. At 15, in 1997 his blues album, "Lie to Me," went platinum and hit No. 1 on Billboard's New Artist chart. At 17 his album, "Wander This World," earned a Grammy nomination. He will be touring US this summer and Europe in the fall.

"Lie to me" was certainly his best .. all others so far pale in comparison in my opinion.

AK on CD - not her best. Personally, I would like to hear stripped down versions of a few of the tracks, as there is a lot of backing to them and her vocals get over-taken in places. I think at least 3 of the 10 core listed tracks could be stunning. Less is more?

This is the Deluxe version with 7 bonus tracks - the extra 7 largely being live versions of the core 10.
