1st run
John Surman, again - A Biography of The Rev Absalom Dawe
To adapt Iconclast's words, the deeply sensual avantgarde. (You read it here first).
Enjoying another listen to DK's latest. The tempo of this album seems slower and more relaxing than with some of her other albums.

Steve Rothery Band Live in Plodiv
(2013)
Love this live album it's a very relaxed evening in Plodiv for a guitar festival in front of a very appreciative audience. This is where you can hear the early workings of The Ghosts of Pripyat, good stuff.

(1978)
Following Steve Rothery's outdoor guitar festivities with David Gilmour's finest solo album.
Following the earlier theme, Miles with guitar from the quondam Mahavishnu man. Lovely chilled vibe for a lovely evening.
CD - that came free with Vox magazine purchased some 20 years ago : )
Debs
Miles Davis Milestones, Beethovens 3rd on the black stuff & now this one from the CD...
Folk-reggae fusion from the band that started life as Edward II and the Red Hot polkas. Infectious beat, about the time of this recording (1991) they were one if the best bands in the festival circuit, fun, energetic, good music.
Keith Jarrett - Book of Ways
Old and a bit scratchy. And it's not just the records.
WAV CD rip. Last before bed, the Berg still sounds "modern" and the dissonance shocks, but has his beautiful Romantic sensibility, and the Stravinsky pieces are lovely, brilliant playing as you'd expect, very well recorded.
late afternoon and starting with
The Rhythm of the Saints - Paul Simon
From the Lyrita CD. Gripping performances by the LPO and composer. There's just something about the drunken swagger in the Scottish Dances, Vivace movement - can't help but smile.
Next up ......
Van Morrison - Back on Top
.....Love it, a classic
Next up
Lyle Lovett - Pontiac
Hope to have a chance to catch Lyle Lovett with his Big Band latter this summer.
Next up......
Sinead O'Connor - I do not want what I haven't got.
..... early release, her second album which lead to four a Grammy nominations, winning one and refusing to accept it.
Always loved her voice and her work throughout the years.
Next up.......
Tracy Chapman
......just love her work, wonderful vocals, guitarist, & lyrics!
Boito: Mefistofele: Siepi/Tebaldi
Not at all familair with this composer but this is absolutely delightful, colourful opera with a few catchy tunes. This is a US London ( UK pressing ) box set but there are no breakups anywhere in all the vocals even at tuti and surprisingly quiet pressing.
The OTT cover art is unintentionally funny.

Absolutely brilliant at this time of the morning with a second cup.
