2017 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread can be found here;
Spent the afternoon at Benaroya Hall for Seattle Philharmonic Orchestra for the playing of Sergei Rachmaninov's 'Symphony No. 3' and Igor Stravinsky's 'The Rite of Spring.' Both were wonderful, but the 'The Rite of Spring' performance will be with me for awhile, just outstanding.
......now to bring it down a notch and change the scene.....
Savoy Brown - Street Corner Talking
..... introduced to Savoy Brown in the early 70's and enjoyed them quite a bit.

Sarah McLachlan - Fumbling Towards Ecstasy

CD. The box includes a bonus DVD. My first spin, just listened to a few minutes at the store and I was pleasantly surprised by the music.
Bought this today at an outlet store (Ollie's) for a whole $3.40 - it's the 2015 version of the band playing the first 2 albums live. Also includes a DVD - not bad considering the price - like the best Skynyrd cover band ever.

Return from Daydreaming is a great mix of experimental ambient electronic and rock music by this Croydon duo "who seek to produce hallucinatory music to transport the listener to uncharted realms of space and time." Downloaded from Bandcamp
Starting with Listz this morning.

Seakayaker, this is rather lovely. In fact our tastes in music seem to largely overlap because I like most of everything you post. That is quite unusual.

Phil Collins - But Seriously
Michael Jackson - Off the wall.
I am in a pop music mood this morning.
On this grim morning, what better way to lift the spirits than with some glorious Couperin, as interpreted by the masterful Mr Savall?
