It's only a bit of fun I know but did enjoy the Frapp avaters.

I fondly recall Ms Hendricks.
Breakfast on R3. Normally I'd listen to Today but it's too much with endless Borough Market coverage/ analysis.
Martineau at the moment.
I don't want to change the world, I'm not looking for a New England, I'm just looking for another girl.....
One of my favourite BB songs, from the first album, all those years ago.

I haven't bought or tried this yet Ewen, so thanks for the prompt.
Bach - Brandenburg consertos
Wonderful performed by the Dunedin Consort. Sound quality is also excellent.

Chris, Ian, Tony...
As you know I always try to give my adoring public what they want, so I've decided to resurrect Ms Hendricks who, as some of you may know, is the face of Johnnie Walker Black in the US. And I am supposed to be writing a piece about the whisky market at some point this week...
Joel Frahm - We used to dance
First run.

Before rousing myself to do some work, let's have some more of Jordi Savall's wonderful readings of French music on a splendid-sounding SACD:

There you go. You look a lot prettier now, Kev.![]()
Have a great week and stay safe.

Been humming "Time The Avenger" all morning, so had to play it before it drives me mad.
One of the great albums of this trio - listening at my holiday location via my mobile setup.....

For my brother who is in the last vestages of life this weekend
He taught me everything about I know music and gave me a love for it.
I'm sorry Ewemon!

A thoughtful and varied recital, played in 'competition' fashion - every note carefully thought out, given its due touch, volume and duration, pedals tastefully applied... but Zhang is really good and seems to have a real vision and genuine musicality, and at no point in this recital gives the impression of being less than dedicated to the composers. As usual, Bis' engineering is a delight.
cheers

As Tony's got a cassette out, I'm going to follow his example. From 1986, here's David Sylvian's cassette-only (it was later released on CD) Alchemy: An Index of Possibilities, presented here in a lavish box:

Admirable customer focus Kev, but the image chosen simply doesn't work graphically, in such a small space! Just too low key.
Still R3 here.

It's all your fault. You shouldn't play with people's emotion around here. We don't like abrupt changes. You should have warned us. We're all very sensitive, you know! ![]()
