Rather excited to be seeing these at Madison Square Garden in August as part of my special ?0th birthday trip.
With Chic ft Nile Rodgers as support.
You let the "landmark" birthday # out of the bag a month or so ago Markah,it should be a lot of fun, enjoy
.
Aye, you're only 30 once
That is so true
Love these so much. Been following them since "The Bairns". Innovative and never afraid to try something different whilst keeping the folk flag flying. The title track to this is quite stunning with heavy jazz influences.
John Coltrane - My favorite things
Lars Danielsson - Tarantella

I saw Earth, Wind & Fire in '72 or '73 when they opened for Foghat, and they stole the show!
Have a great time and a Happy Birthday! (better a little early then late)

Hootie & the Blowfish - Fairweather Johnson
Just love Darius Rucker's vocals......
Haven't seen any Hootie on here for a while, and it's a very long time since I've played this album. I think I first discovered this band from a Jools Holland show. A good source to discover new musicians like this.
Serious bass workout for the speakers!
Monk Solo - piano solo, quite nice & the final one of the bargain 5 CD set 'Straight no chaser'
After that its Jazz round midnight - again!
Wonderful CD, I fully recommend it. Works, Interpretation, Direction & SQ all superb.
.......Next up......
......chores still are completely done and neither is Robert this afternoon.
He died way too young.
