Bert,

I just ordered today this  Mulligan's disc (used) from Germany. Cost was $0.53 plus shipping:

That is a real bargain! From which site did you order this?

Which site, the 2nd I don't have and the price you quote is crazy...

I don't have many jazz guitar albums in my collection. This one is a great album.

John Lee Hooker - Don't Turn Me From Your Door.

You just beat me to it, PaulM .............. following a couple of hours of trance blues from Mali, as above, it's time for the master of laid back himself, let's hear it for John Lee Hooker.

Probably my favourite Miles album, Bert. I have listened to the original vinyl copy at Cymbiosis on a number of occasions after having upgrades installed on my LP12. This sounds superb. But sadly I only have this on CD, although I also have the seven disc box set which wraps up this era rather nicely.

Tears for Fears, Songs Form The Big Chair, continuing this week's delve into the 80s and 90s with a classic album.  One of those groups I disliked as a denim wearing rock fan at the time and now, with a little age, appreciate a great deal.  Flac via Audirvana/Hugo

The things we forget:

A good friend of ours who used to teach with my wife in high school and moved to Texas in retirement returned to Illinois for a visit. Since he has always been big on music as well as Hi Fi, not to mention being a talented pianist, I decided to get him my recent discovery of John Field's beautiful Nocturnes. When he saw what I was handing him he gave a huge smile and thanked me for remembering. "Remembering what?" I asked and he proceeded to remind us that Elizabeth Joy Roe was his English student whom he was raving about eighteen years ago and that we actually came to his house to listen through his grand system to a recording he made of Roe playing a Beethoven sonata in a school recital. This is another proof that we all live in circles.
