Porcupine Tree - Fear Of A Blank Planet

I remember back in the day when I frequented this forum on a much more regular basis and this first came out, it was posted so often and I listened to it myself to the point of overkill. I haven't played it for years until tonight and it struck me just how good this album is.

Oh, dear!  At which point did you actually think this is a good album? Or, by default , anything that PT or, by osmosis,  anything   that Steven Wilson does is actually listenable ?

Wow, that's a rather unfriendly post. I see lots of posts on here with music that I don't particularly like but if someone is enthusiastic about their choice and they are enjoying it then good for them. Please let me know what music you do like before I post again.

Rosanna Vitro - Passion dance.

Rosanna Vitro is for me a rather unknown Jazz singer. This is the only CD I have of her. It's pretty good one. Not only does she sing well, but the band is also good.

From allmusic.com

One of the top jazz singers of the 1990s, Roseanna Vitro is a versatile vocalist who is not afraid to take chances. On her Telarc debut, the personnel changes on many of the ten selections with the stars among the sidemen including pianist Ken Werner (Vitro's musical director), altoist Gary Bartz, trumpeter Tim Hagans, bassist Christian McBride and drummer Elvin Jones. Among the highpoints of the diverse repertoire are an adventurous "Freedom Jazz Dance," "Out of This World," "Long as You're Livin '," McCoy Tyner's "Passion Dance" and "Strollin"' (an adaptation of Charles Mingus' "Nostalgia in Times Square"). The only number that does not work is an over-the-top rendition of "More than You Know" that is overly complex; simplicity would have been much more effective. Otherwise this is a superior set by a very appealing singer.

First up Antonio Forcione - Acoustic Revenge

This is sounding particularly fine today. Must have made a couple of improvements to the music center since I last played it.

.....now in more relaxing mood, Boz Scaggs - Fade Into Light

Great choice for a lazy, sunny Sunday afternoon. It is on Tidal. Try it, bet it will put you in a fine mood.

I'm still working my way through the Kraftwerk 8-LP The Catalogue 3D box. Now onto The Mix. When this album came out some 26 years ago, I thought it was rather pointless; and for me, it remains the worst KW album. So I'm so far wondering what enjoyment or enlightenment can be gained from a pointless reinterpretation of a pointless remix album...
