2017 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.

Haven't played it in so long and for me it doesn't wear well.
Another one of those albums that I haven't played in years
Last one for the evening
Art Pepper - Darn that Dream, RealTime CD rip. Good band, recording and playing - a bit less than 3 months before Art's passing.
Giovanni Guidi Trio: City of broken Dreams

How did you get on with "The Crimson Idol"? I love it! (but then, I'm a W.A.S.P fan )
For something a bit different from 'regular' W.A.S.P, try "KFD" - good & noisy (or a wall of noise, depending on your point of view... )!
I have to say it was better than I expected, but not so much my thing, I like more challenging heavy music...
(1977)
Via Hi-Res Tidal Masters, their second album released eight years after their debut.
A byproduct of his work as jazz pianist, ok, but not so engaging as his other work...
Running the last couple of days this last album from Neal Morse on an ongoing base. And it's clearly th best album of his career and with the seal also one of the best or the best progressive rock album of last year, have a listen when you are into prog..
On CD:-
Delaney & Bonnie - To Bonnie From Delaney
Little Richard. Rock 'n' Roll Legends. On CD from 2008. Twenty fantastic tracks from 1955-59. If you're into the roots of rock this is quintessential listening.
(1982)
More CSN on Tidal Masters because I often forget how very good they could be.
Another great LP.
Transit Kings - Living In A Giant Candle Winking At God
This morning's walkies (weather sunny, very cold, cheerful) music: Transit Kings are (were?) a side project of Alex Paterson and friends (Jimmy Cauty co-writes much of it). The music is somewhere between house and trip hop and is predictably sampledelic (for example the video mixes plainchant with one of former Looney Tunes-turned-electronic pioneer Raymond Scott's jingles (included as a postscript).
More boomtastic:
This and the follow up album of remixes, Early Bath are both terrific.
That Raymond Scott piece:
David Crosby
Crozy - 16bit 44.1kHz Wave
Next
Marillion
Script For A Jesters Tear - Tidal HiFi
Edward
This is a really fine piano trio album with nice contrasts between calm and intensity. There is a new one just released which I'll get round to in a day or two.

I like the new one, it's good - in a way it's better than this one...
Great album, return to it every now and then....., sounds even better on my main system...
Makes a change from ECM trio jazz...
I've been listening to a lot of his work of late. This really is a fitting finale.
Leonard Cohen - You Want It Darker
