What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol. XIII)

2017 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread can be found here;
(2016)
Hard pumping, adrenaline fuelling, "darksynth" from Pertubator a Parisienne outfit.
Rush, Rush, because Fly By Night has finished. Still brilliant after all those years - if today was the first day I heard it I'd fall in love all over again. 2015 version, 24 bit Flac via Audirvana/Hugo
Aretha Franklin - Aretha Now.
Still one of the best soul voices out there, a classic album.
(1969)
Another one via Tidal Masters.
Aretha Franklin - I Never Loved A Man The Way I Love You.
Well, the last one seems to have been well received, so this, Aretha's first album for Atlantic, the original and best, IMHO.
I feel a soul evening coming on.
One of todays arrivals. CD rip.

That's one of my favourite EBTG tracks - although I only have it on a "best of" album.
I just love Claire Martin's singing, and this is probably my favourite of her albums, with Kenny Barron's wonderfully lyrical piano. Just right to listen to while battling with today's sudoku in the Guardian.
(1983)
Why? Because its on Tidal Masters and despite being a new, different sound for the band it went on to be their best selling album although I prefer their older releases...

It's worth getting hold of the EP, as the three other tracks are also very good.

Not something I see often on here. Gets a frequent airing at my place.
Angel Olsen - Burn Your Fire For No Witness
A+ | WAV
(1971)
Giving this 40th Anniversary copy a run because its my favourite 'Harum.
Nice reflective music...
Creedence Clearwater Revival - Best Of.
Some funky swamp rock from the boys ................. still sounding great today.
Ray Lamontagne - Ouroboros. CD rip.
Another of today's arrivals - quite different to his earlier albums but a real grower.
1966 - Vinyl - U.K. First (mono) pressing...
