Stunning. A must for anyone who likes guitar music...and for those who may not think they do.

Doyle Bramhall II - Rich Man
Again, not very original of me as someone else posted this - I have looked back but can't find who it was. Anyway, I am pretty sure I have listened to this before and put it in the 'meh' pile. I have just again listened to the whole album and really enjoyed it. Embracing a mix of rock genres, it is a bit difficult to categorise so I won't bother.
I do recommend at least one listen to this so you don't make the same mistake I did.
Andrew Hill - "Judgement !" (1964)
This guy has the potential to be a huge Texas Country music star.
Vinyl remaster
Back from a few days in London, it's amazing how good the system sounds after the break. Went to pick my cat up from the cattery, stuck the USB stick on the car stereo, this was what was half way through, having listened to it on the MINI Harmon Kardon on 320k MP3 I had to hear it properly. My favourite Bowie album, except when Heroes is playing, it's a classic for the right reasons, great lyrics, great music, great band, Bowie showing why he is one of the great vocalists, it still sounds fresh and challenging.
At some point my 1980s album went missing, so for years I only had this on CD, I eventually cracked and bought a vinyl copy again, I have to say that the 180g pressings I have don't seem to me to do anything for SQ above the £2.99 CBS nice price albums I bought 30+ years ago. And the extra thickness and the slight warp means that this is still in contact with the stylus when I raise the arm, ext time I get the turntable set up must get the arm raised slightly.

I'd forgotten what a great album this is - Trevor Horn at his best. On DSD.
Think I still have my Buggles T shirt somewhere in the house but don't think my 24 pack would fit into it now.
A+3 | Tidal Hi Res MQA
(1979)
Using Tidal again because my Audirvana has decided not to recognise the music library (again)!
Their final album from 1990, on original UK vinyl. Why? Because it's an absolutely brilliant record...
2017 - Tidal...
On CD. Just great!
Brilliant but still a bit bonkers
Big Audio Dynamite - This Is Big Audio Dynamite
Vinyl rip. Never tire of this influential album.
Vinyl.
Pulled out from the shelves while trying to find the earlier Bowie (rock/jazz/folk filed by artist name, classical by composer), wonderful performance, the 1936 recording unsurprisingly lacks some body, but Kreisler's playing and the LPO under Barbirolli make that irrelevant, beautiful music making. The slow movement is inspired.
I got this from a charity shop back when you got more than one album for a quid, I always ended up sticking a fiver or more in the collecting tin out of guilt for the bargains I was getting.
Final one for tonight and i'm giving the system (and my ears !) a real work out with this superb album at serious levels. It's certainly blown the cobwebs out.
I'd better go and find the dog...
Goldfrapp - Black Cherry
