Contemporary prog rock from this Swedish band who consider A Time of Day to be their best album to date.
Sonny Rollings with the Modern Jazz Quartet.
I am in a Sonny Rollings mood

Now for something totally different...
I used to struggle listening to this, to follow everything, so much going on.
Sounds great now with an upgraded LP12 & SC2!
Brilliant album, Andy, and I agree it sounds even better on a top spec LP12!!
I don't think it's that different to, say, Steven Wilson. Try 'As Falls Wichita...' again and see if you agree.
Thanks Clive, I will give that another listen tomorrow!
Sounds Steven Wilson ish...?
Not absolutely like SW, but it does have some progressive rock similarity IMHO.
Ani Difranco - "Canon" disc 2 (2007)
Gloria Estefan in her native language.
Van Morrison - "Too Long In Exile" (1993)
James Taylor - "New Moon Shine" (1991)
Lars Danielsson - Liberetto. Needed something relaxing. CD rip.

I was at that gig Matt! Happy memories! Must dig that CD out later.
Pink Floyd, A Momentary Lapse of Reason, 2017 vinyl remaster. This sounds a hell of a lot better than the UK original first pressing, but no amount of tweaking from Guthrie and co. can disguise the fact that this album is a dog, and by far the worst thing in the entire Floyd canon.
One can imagine Roger Waters sitting down with a chilled glass of his favourite Chablis, listening to this while studying the lyric sheet and cackling and guffawing like a Victorian pantomime villain...
John Hiatt - "Mystic Pinball" (2012)
We have music in our lounge again - To get things all warmed up it's time for some Yello...

Interesting comments, Kevin. I have a fairly pristine first pressing (pristine because I have, until recently, shared much the same view). However, when Peter Swain came to my house recently to exchange the (Radikal) motor on my LP12, he chose this album to see how it (the turntable) sounded. I have to say that not only did the turntable sound good, but it made the music sound rather fine too.
Looking forward to the new album but for now it's time for a listen to this.
A fine debut album.

Just fancied some old Doors to start the evening, this one will be 50 years old this year. Originally downloaded a few years ago from Qobuz as a set of 8 Studio Masters.
B B King and Friends - A Night of Blistering Blues.
A stellar supporting cast for what was a memorable "wish I'd been there" concert.
Etta James steals the show.
B B King - Live at the Regal.
After the last one, above, it really only could be this ................ still one of the best live albums ever, IMHO.
1976 - Vinyl - US first pressing...
