What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol. XIII)

2017 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread can be found here;
Denise Jannah - I was born in love with you.
From allmusic.com:
Denise Jannah is a brilliant singer who is a native a Surinam (formerly Dutch Guyana). Her third CD and first U.S. release is full of very refreshing arrangements of familiar tunes by Jon Schapiro and Bob Belden. She restores the opening verse to "You'd Be So Nice To Come Home To" and "Imagination," is absolutely enchanting on the wild Latin-flavored "Bye Bye Blackbird," returns to the original lyric written for "A Night In Tunisia" (the far superior "Interlude") and sings her own original ballad, the attractive "Alone, Never Lonely." According to producer Gary Giddins, criticism about her accent (which is not a problem!) didn't help sales and airplay of the CD and it was dropped from the Blue Note catalog. Don't be surprised when this outstanding release becomes a high priced sought after collectable; this is one of the best vocal jazz CDs of the 1990s.
On CD:-
The Doobie Brothers - The Captain And Me
The Doobie Brothers - Stampede
On Vinyl:-
The Moody Blues - To Our Children's Children's Children
CD 2 'Love Scene' Improvisations - Jerry Garcia perfect for a summer evening.
UK first press. Picked this up earlier today for a tenner. Not perfect, but in excellent condition overall.

Another lovely warm sunny evening, so it's a good time to play one of last year's great psychedelic rock albums.
In terms of a tracklist, there's very little wrong with this 1989 vinyl compilation from the Heat. I'm not one who complains about SQ overly much, but as far as I can hear, something (the mastering?) is a bit awry. Think I will have to start trying to track down some of the original albums:
High quality musicians backing Eva, lovely volice, great interpretations, excellent SQ for a live album. She provides a great intro with Cheek by Cheek, and I'm always amazed by how moving I find her Wonderful World, my normal response to WW versions is to reach for Satchmo, here I lean back and enjoy.
I'm sure I'm not the only person who first really listened to Alison Krauss on her album with Robert Plant, before that I was vaguely aware of her name because of her Grammy count. I've since been enjoying listening to her work with Union Station, she's got a great voice, and what a fantastic interpreter of songs she is. I'm not sure I'll ever be an out and out bluegrass convert, but if I do get there it'll be through her. (I enjoy bluegrass, but wouldn't yet build a big collection.) I have to go out to meet friends in a minute, but not until I've listened to her beautiful rendition of RT's Dimming of the Day.
Trying something new from tidal.....
Kacy Hill - Like A Woman
I was late discovering this gem. It was only when I heard part of the song 'Cold Water' to promote a TV drama that I was pricked into action! Rather enjoyable.
UK first press vinyl. David Cunningham's band are best known for their three bizarre but witty novelty records of 1978-80, but in reality they're an outfit with impeccable avant-garde credentials. Intelligent music on a superb debut album, even if Vivien Goldman's lyrics to "Herstory" are absolutely excruciating:

Pretty frightening prospect really, don't think this is included in the live show too often now.
