Nigel, I see you have joined forces with Kev on the Sid James avatar tribute band wagon. What a Carry On...
Seemed only right. Just noticed, our Sid avatars seem to have a regal theme going on.
Hyuk, Hyuk, Hyuk.
Bach at his most hypnotic, in one of the best performances of the French suites that I've yet heard.

From 2003:
Named after the acoustically sweet Union church in Hinsdale, Illinois, where the album was recorded. Laurence Hobgood is a very talented pianist. Paul Wertico on drums has a tendency to overpower the melodies though he is pretty tame here. I saw the trio preform with Patricia Barber in one of the prehistoric Hi Fi shows.
This is a track from another album by the trio:
My therapist thinks that there is definitely something worn with me since I can never warmed up to this album.
.....Now playing
There is a different sound to this album. By the second song I was all in.....
Really enjoying Charlie Haden.
......there have been several album above that look very interesting. So much music, so little time. Really enjoying this thread.
now playing......
Suzanne Vega - Close-Up, Vol 1, Love Songs
.....taking another lead from this thread and giving it a listen.
Now playing.....
Union
Following the lead of another member above.... The first track 'Stat Crossed Lovers' sinks the hooks right in, sweet!
The Magpie Salute-The Magpie Salute
my favorite album of this year so far.

I think you are the first person on this forum other than me to admit to actually playing this album. If you have it on CD you also get it backwards and at half-speed... Lovely!
Actually I find this album quite soothing so I play it on a low volume every now and then in the evening before bedtime.
On vinyl though so no option for half-speed or backwards.
now playing.....
Antonio Forcione - Tears of Joy
Back for another visit with Antonio.....
Now Playing.......
Chris Rea (Blue Guitars) - A Collection of Songs -
A couple of other albums by Chris were mentioned recently and could not find them on Tidal.
Did find (Blue Guitars) and the first couple of song are mighty fine.

Mine too.
The interesting post on genre by NotNaim Man prompted me to play this.
