Eva Cassidy - Nightbird.

I know others have posted this recently. One of my favourite discoveries of 2016.

Eva will ease your mind.

Agnes Obel is a new discovery for me, and I'm liking this album a lot.  Will certainly be trying out earlier records, hopefully they're as good.

(2008)

A good album from a good Canadian rock band, anyone that enjoys their rock music should enjoy this. Almost seventies in style there are influences and undertones of big name bands from that era going on here.

Japan - Tin Drum.

I was sorting through some racks of vinyl and pulled out this one on original wafer thin Virgin vinyl.  Hmmm...  haven't listened to this in many years...  A quick check and I see that I don't have this on CD.  So, I give it a spin on the Loricraft Garrard and hook up my Sony PCM-M10 recorder to record it in 24bit 96kHz for my drive up to Bentley later in the week.  Oh yes...  this takes me back to my school days.  And I'd also forgotten just what a great little recorder the Sony is/was.  It's win win for Japan..

Time for some Angel Olsen. This is her second album and the production is quite sparse compared to My Woman. An excellent album though with a more intimate sound.

The vinyl, to me, sounded bizarrely muddy  -  and I *love* DD...

Always nice to listen to, swing, modern, puts a smile on your face type of jazz...
