Milstein/Steinberg/PSO - Dvorak/Glazunov VCs. Cisco LP re-issue of the Capitol 1957 recording, mastered by Kevin Gray at Acoustech, 2002. Good job all around.
What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol. XIII)

2017 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread can be found here;
Now playing......
Paul Hanmer - Roots of Paul Hammer
Enjoyed the first two albums that I played of Paul's yesterday and thought another album would make good company this afternoon......
1993 - Vinyl - Uk pressing...
Tim Richards Trio - 12 by 3
Why? British contemporary jazz, fairly easy listening - nice...
I reckon this album must be one of my most played in the past year. Delightful, fun music, superb recording and simply great listening. Just makes me smile every time.
Hans Theessink and Terry Evans Live. True and Blue.
Nat 'King' Cole/Gordon Jenkins Orch. - The Very Thought of You, from 1957. 1962 Capitol '1084-A' LP re-pressing. Minty!
(for those with interest) I would recommend the film 'Nat King Cole - Afraid of the Dark' currently on Netflix
1994 - CD - OST...
The Cure's Burn is the perfect intro track and there is also a great version of JD's Dead Souls by NIN among others.
Debussy was born on this day in 1862. What an amazing performance by Uchida. Beautiful SQ from the 1989 Philips sessions.
Now playing.....
Silje Nergaard - A Thousand True Stories
A mention from EWEMON previously and thought I would give this album a spin. Well I'm five tracks in and it is definitely worth a listen. There are a few other albums available on Tidal that I will be checking out as well. Love this thread!
Now Playing......
Silje Nergaard - Chain of Days
Enjoyed 'A Thousand True Stories' and wanted to take another album out for a spin. Silje has a sweet voice.....
Ripped cd single.
Hi Res
Hi Res.
A good start of the day...
Remembering John....
A very distinctive style of music. If you never have heard him try it, it's not typical type of jazz music but very enjoyable. His last album might be a good start...
On UK first press vinyl. For no good reason whatsoever:
Small big band music, very modern and raw, not for the faint hearted, but with a lot of rewards for those who dare to try.....

Oh no, not another one of the great guitar players gone. I heard him with Emily Remler, but have not explored any more of his catalogue. Too late, I know, but I shall have to make amends.
My favourite Texier:
