2017 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread can be found here;
Iron & Wine - The Creek Drank The Cradle
Iron & Wine got a mention on here so I thought I would investigate further. This is probably a bit of a Marmite album, but I happen to like Marmite.
Soporific - but in a good way.
John Handy - Monterey Jazz Fest 1965. 1996 Koch CD-rip. Also available (and more) on the Mosaic Select 3cd box.

An unlikely pairing but it really works. This album also introduced me to the considerable talents of A Krauss.
Seeing Brilliant's post made me pull out my fav John Handy set.
1971 - vinyl - Uk Pressing....
O Françoise! Vous êtes tellement beau, si talentueuse!
Tous Les Garcons et Les Filles, réédition du vinyle sur Light In The Attic. J'ai mis le record sur le platine tournant et je suis transporté vers les années 1960...
Just needed to hear that clear cutting guitar tone from Mr Scofield.
London Grammar, Truth is a Beautiful Thing, again, the second half of this album is something very very special and I can't recommend it enough. Flac via audirvana/Hugo
In the Heart of the Moon:

Buddy Guy - Damm Right, I Got The Blues
It's Wednesday, I'm on call until Saturday night, Damm Right, I Got The Blues......
Nothing like Buddy to lift the spirits however! Beautiful voice and guitar.....
Recent finds...favs are David Bedord, Joe Henderson, Yusef Lateef, Gronich/Caspi, and of course Louis Armstrong. Michael Shrieve (notable drummer in Santana) was in a prog band in the 70s for two album (Automatic Man). The Cluster and Eno is a mix of earlier Sky LPs, which I already have but couldn't resist this one. The Con Funk Shun album is great also.
Now Playing....
Buddy Guy & Junior Wells - Alone & Acoustic
Guitar and harmonic, wonderful blues.....beautiful album, really worth a listen. Love the 'Big Boat' track, Buddy and Junior really working well together on this number!

Leonard Cohen - Recent Songs
End of a long day and the last album of the day, the spoken word, the soft spoken sung words, lyrics or poetry, it all works...... I enjoy Leonard's work.
