2017 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.

A complete re-recording of her Sweet Old World album
Ewemon, what's your view on this vs original album? Better, worse, just different, need both?
Sorry Kevin not allowed to comment as it hasn't been released yet.
So why are you referencing it on a public forum?
Maybe your right and I should stop posting imminent releases
Randy Newman on Master Tapes on R4.

Oh come on Ken, it was university (or possibly college) when we were there. Please stop pandering to the yoof!

Ewen, it's good to see what imminent releases you're checking out.

Guy Garvey - Courting The Squall
A mention above by APYE! caught my eye and raised my interest to take a look at this album.
.....here goes.
Hope you like it!
Stones - Still Life
It's a sunny Bank hol Monday, let the good times roll :-)
After a couple of days without music at my holiday location, I urgently needed to go back to listening music. I think they call that addiction.....
Switched to something completely different. For me the best album of Linkin Park. The right combination of rough edges, interesting lyrics and good songs. Highly recommended for those who like the style....
The War on Drugs Live 2014 official recording.

Lucinda Williams - World Without Tears
Starting the day with Lucinda......
BP.
Muddy Waters - 'I Can't be Satisfied'. Nice compilation. CD-rip.
Gene Ammons and Sonny Stitt - Boss tenors
From allmusic.com:
Tenor saxophonists Gene Ammons and Sonny Stitt co-led a small group in 1950, and this follow-up, taped in the studio in 1961, finds the two picking up where they left off. The highlight of the date is the jointly written "Blues up and Down," a classic jam which has since inspired a number of other tenor match ups to record it, especially Eddie "Lockjaw" Davis and Johnny Griffin. Ammons' repetitious one-note melody within "The One Before This," like Duke Ellington's deceptively simple two-note theme "C Jam Blues," leads to some inspired improvising by both men. Stitt switches to alto sax for a loping take of "There Is No Greater Love," during which Ammons' tenor provides the perfect foil. The rhythm section includes bassist Buster Williams, along with the somewhat obscure pianist John Houston and drummer George Brown. This rewarding date has become hard to find since this 1992 CD reissue lapsed from print.

Is it worth around 40 euros when you already have the albums in CD quality ?

Bert do you mean if you have the 12 CD box set? If so I would say yes, I think 40 euros for the 12 album hi-res mono re-master is well worth it.
Muddy Waters - Folk Singer. An audiophile favorite, rec. 1963! 192/24 flac
(1973)
Some early Joe Walsh to keep things nicely buzzing along.
Keith Jarrett - At the Blue Note (CD4)
This is wonderful early evening beat music...

I didn't mean the same set in mono I have some of the last remastered stereo versions. As I am an occasional Stones fan it would need to be quite an uplift in experience for me to buy it, but your initial answer seems to be clear - thanks.
