2017 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread can be found here;
Clive B posted:Played on iPhone through Bose noise cancelling headphones whilst flying back to civilisation after a couple of days in the south of France.
One could argue that you were flying away from civilisation!
The Criminal Trombone:
A reminder arrived from northern Italy, courtesy of our Massimo Bertola, that my 30 years old disc of the playful trombonist Christian Lindberg is sitting neglected and unheard for a very long time.
Going big for Butch trucks - RIP with the other brothers gone before you.
The Fireman. Electric Arguments. On CD from 2008. McCartney might just as well have entitled this "Eclectic Arguments". Artistic, creative, divergent and experimentational on every track. One of his best solo albums.

Hi Haim,
I have the same CD on order. Hopefully it arrives this week.

Agreed (though Youth must take some credit). I was very impressed with New too.
Prompted by a suggestion that there was a glitch thirty seconds in - which there isn't.

led zeppelin (Deluxe Edition) - 24bit 96kHz Wave (2014 Remaster)
Listen to The Planet Rock years this morning has put me in full Led Zeppelin mode.

An album i often overlook when i'm going through my Radiohead collection.
Radiohead - Pablo Honey
Airbag, Disconnected, WAV CD Rip.
One of my favorite releases from 2016. A Great Prog Album.
Led Zeppelin IV Deluxe Edition - 24bit 96kHz Wave
Next
Led Zeppelin II Deluxe Edition - 24bit 96kHz Wave
Still cannot make up my mind after all this time which album is my all time favorite Led Zeppelin album.

WAV CD Rip, Breaking Habits, Mellor Golyyzniak Duda.
3 very talented Musicians come together to do just that, with stunning results.
Soen, Tellurian, WAV CD Rip.
Sometimes Hard and Fast, Sometimes Smooth and Mellow. Always Brilliant.
The Black Crowes, Amorica, WAV CD Rip.
My only Crowes album, Not played in quite a while, glad I put it on.
After Pablo Honey it's gotta be this one. This is an album that i love to play very loud (when the house is empty !) and just get lost in the sonic cacophony, especially on tracks such as 'Sulk' and 'Planet Telex'.
Fantastic
Radiohead - The Bends
Wow. Like best blue soul jazz injected. A shocker.
Jack White, Blunderbuss. WAV CD Rip.
A very good Solo project. All songs were written and composed by White, well recorded too.
