2017 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.

Excellent quality 2-CD boot from the 1996 Art Crimes tour:
On CD:-
The Beatles - Beatles For Sale
From the first measure to the last, the trio sonatas of Czech composer Jan Dismas Zelenka (1679-1745) cast an enchanting spell. The combination of instruments—two oboes, bassoon, and basso continuo, with a violin replacing an oboe in the third sonata—is unique and colorful. Zelenka’s writing embodies the epitome of Baroque ensemble stylistics, drawing from such diverse influences as Bach and the folk music of his own homeland.
Heinz Holziger. oboe
Maurice Bourgue, oboe
Thomas Zehetmair, violin
Klaus Thunemann, bassoon
Klaus Stoll double-bass
Jonathan Rubin. lute
Christiane Jaccottet, harpsichord
born this day in 1824. This is Barenboim's second of three complete Bruckner sets...

k. d. lang - hymns of the 49th parallel
k. d. covering her fellow Canadian's, with two songs each from Leonard Cohen, Joni Mitchell, and Neil Young, along with four others. Eh, and she has included a new one of her own.....
Jesse van Ruller - European Quintet
Good guitar jazz from Jesse van Ruller and his band.
New album was just released checking in on the old album...
I woke up in the night with Eagles songs going through my head - explain that! Resolved that by playing this best of compilation, which contains most of Hotel California and all the other greats. Just the ticket.
I heard 'Non Believer' on the car radio over the weekend and realised i'd not really give this album a chance. After a few more plays it's grown on me a lot more. Much more of a slow burner compared to the first album but that's not a bad thing.
London Grammar - Truth Is A Beautiful Thing.
I bought this a while ago, but this will be the first time I've played it. Just about to launch.

I'll have to give this a try, I've put off trying it after the negative reviews here but it seems to be a grower for those reviewers now.
A great trio - promising Records so far....

I think everybody had an expectation of getting the ease of access of the first album. It's an album which requires more spins. I think it's not as good as the first album, but it is not bad as well.

I have this box set as well as the remastered CDs and in many cases I find the sound on this set to be preferable. It seems a more 'natural' sound (which, I realise, is an odd thing to say about music played on electric instruments).

It is a very easy listen isn't it? I've had this for nearly twenty five years and although the SQ is not quite up to the very best of their early original CD's its still a very good package indeed, the Vinyl is something again of course.

I also have this box set - so many good songs. Sad news about Walter.
Enjoyable...
In high resolution audio, Umgur allows me only to publish once an hour so I have to every now and then refer back to a direct copy of the image....
Absolutely stunning!
To cap it all, believe it or not, he walked into my brothers local pub in Cheltenham and I was not there!
