What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol. XIII)

2017 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread can be found here;
John McLaughlin - After the Rain. Released 1994 on Verve. CD-rip
Mixed feelings with this album, so me great stuff, but quite a mix which means that coherence is a bit missing while the title would just suggest the coherence...
Inspired by HH's post above. My favourite Clash LP;
(2010)
Called The Lost Tapes 1972 is a super album of the lady doing her thing alone and on stage in a small intimate environment, its like being there is the highest compliment I can give it with the added bonus of it being very nicely recorded just a shame it took 38 years to get released!
The Proms on Radio 3 on the Nait 02
First play of new high res download
Following on from Bonnie Raitt earlier, the same vibe as she alluded to.

Another good one from the fine chaps at Real Gone Music.
As always, expertly remastered, and something of a bargain over on The River at around a tenner.
Got this set a few months ago Dave. Good isn't it?
Hi Steve,
Yes, and after years of dodgy remasterings elsewhere, which often sounded inferior to the original recordings, the chaps at Real Gone are turning out consistently good offerings.
Some of the old Blues albums which I've bought have been brought entirely back to life, courtesy of Real Gone.
Dave, I agree in the main although I have bought a couple of boxsets from them that are less than stellar but probably no worse than other CDs knocking about. However the excellent to very good quality of the set's that you and I have bought outweigh the occasional "average" set, basically its all good news.
Thanks Gents. Prompted by these posts to check out Real Gone Records website. Very diverse range of artists and styles for sure. Dave, Steve, in terms of the Sound and the quality of the Remaster jobs, which would you say are the other standout issues you've come across in this catalog(ue) ?

Hi Kevin,
I've so far bought the Atlantic and Stax sets, along with the John Lee Hooker, Lightnin' Hopkins and Jimmy Reed boxsets, even though I already had much of the music in it's original form.
They're all very good, though the blues offerings, in particular, have benefitted from a sympathetic remaster.
S'all good.
Justin Adams - Desert Road.
Some highly recommended chilled desert trance from one of the mainstays of Planty's band, The Sensational Space Shifters.
Nighty night.
A very nice rounded recording, however also with a but...., as it's Fazit Say I expected a different viewpoint then all the 100 others, ......if you look for that, it doesn't shine through besides details in tempo and dynamics...., but it is a good Records no at the same time n my eyes...

1969 - vinyl - U.K. Second pressing...
It amazes me that there is a bloke trying to sell the torquoise pressing for the 4th time on fleabay, despite all bad feedback for the same album he tried to flog before, and there are people still falling for it. Unbelievable!
It amazes me people are duped into believing the turquoise sleeved versions are rare. Just looked on popsike, thirty copies have come to market so far this year. That doesn’t strike me as rare. Same goes for Dark Side Of The Moon with solid blue triangle.
Vinyl - UK First Pressing.
Tight is the word. I recall Mark Ellen introducing them on the Old Grey Whistle Test before they played 'Don't worry baby'. He said that earlier in the day they'd received Standing ovations from the studio staff during their warm up!
Elton John - Honky Chateau
A record with a relaxed, swinging vibe.
