For whatever reason ---- Tidal is dropping off this afternoon after a few days of steady performance.
Went to the NAS and selected Bruce Hornsby, a fine album......

Alboran Trio: Near Gale
Alboran Trio is an Italian jazz piano trio consisting of Paolo Paliaga (piano), Gigi Biolcati (drums and percussion) and Dino Contenti (bass). The name is derived from the uninhabited Mediterranean island of Alborán, which lies between the Andalusian coast and North Africa. It is intended both to emphasize a mystical atmosphere of music and to point to the influence of European musical tradition and the African roots of rhythm.

Fink - Sort of Revolution

Streaming Snow this morning. Another beautifully mellow album from the ozy brother and sister. They are just about to start another world tour and will be over here in the UK early November.

Rumer - Boys Don't Cry
Hard to imagine a more gentle start!
Plant and Krauss - Raising Sand
It'll be the Ramones by lunchtime.
Great album, listen quite often to it...
One of the great British LPs of the 1990s. Almost up there with Mezzanine, but nowhere near as well known, which is a pity. Ian Cooper and Paul Hammond's melding of old skool Brit psychedelia (Ayres, Wyatt et al) with electronics, dance music and the mellow vibe of groups like America (and Neil Young at his least combatative) was groundbreaking for the time (1991). And the tunes are complete bangers!
This is the Rough Trade 1992 vinyl reissue of the 1991 Brainiak Records original, with two extra tracks...
Fink-Resurgam
Prophets of Rage-Prophets of Rage
RATM is about my favorite band of all time. This ain't RATM. Zach gives the music an energy you can't replace. Money grab if you ask me now. I'll give a few spins before I make a final decision on this one.
