2017 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread can be found here;

Fink - Resurgam
Finally arrived home and have a chance to give the newly released album a spin. I gave this album a listen earlier through my headphones at work and enjoyed it quite a bit, it sounds a hell of a lot better in the living room at home!
Friday night and life is grand!
Vinyl
20th Anniversary edition.

London Grammar - Truth Is a Beautiful Thing (deluxe)
First time listening to London Grammar following the multiple mentions in this thread over time. Hannah Reid certainly has a strong and beautiful voice and enjoying the music through first three tracks with 15 more to follow.
EST - A Strange Place For Snow
Soulful, gentle, mostly quiet, infectious music. I never tire of it.
After the shipping forecast and with a cup of tea.
With the largest cup of coffee ever seen on earth
Rainy cold days. Packin' up for a trip to a hopefully deserted lake.
Good start of the Saturday
2-CD/blu ray set, bought yesterday. Some interesting stuff I hadn't heard before...
Portico Quartet - Art in the Age of Automation
Growing on me Bert, or anyone. Needs a bit of welly. I need this Java coffee.
What a way to start off the weekend, Mott at their brilliant best! 2006 remaster is stunning
War on Drugs - A Deeper Understanding
Weekend feelgood.
This random pick from the the Beatles section of my collection. In fact i had forgotten I had it...
Elton John & John Lennon Live! in Madison Square Garden 28th November 1974. It documents the night Lennon honoured his promise to Elton by performing on stage with him Whatever Gets You Thru The Night became a number 1hit - it did, and here's the evidence! Lennon performs on Whatever Gets You Through The Night, Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds and a version of The Beatles I Saw Her Standing There - incredibly this was to be Lennon's last major public performance.
1981 Japanese (DJM Label Vinyl.

Happy birthday, Ewe.
Hope you have a good one!
Might be a tad late on this Ewe? But hope you had or having a great birthday...
ATB Graham.
From 1981, first press (I can't imagine there was ever a repressing, sales were less then stellar) of a debut album on Factory Benelux of some Nothumbrian ne'er do wells. The absolutely hideous cover is a good indication of the music contained within (not an entirely bad thing, in my view).
A random pick from the shelves - there's no other reason to listen to it.
