2017 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread can be found here;
Still loving this girl and especially this album. My best find of 2017 (thanks to the forum) so far.
Sarah Jarosz - Follow Me Down
The last one before my operation....., will take a couple of days before you hear back from me...

i seem to be taking a manic journey through very different genres this evening. Fun though!
This has been a long term favourite of mine. I like Lyle's humour.
Good idea...
This isn't too shabby either. One of four or maybe five copies I have, this being the last James Guthrie, Joel Plante and Bernie Grundman vinyl release.
Dinosaur - Together as One
A Late Junction find. I'm being challenged to say the least but starting to find the groove.

Sending along a good thought and a prayer that your procedure is a success and you experience a complete recovery.
......also a fantastic choice for the last album!
Ryat. Totem.
RA .... " For all the moments of sensory overload, Totem offers up serene interludes, like the acoustic seadrift of "Invisibly Ours" or the ruffled chimes of "Seahorse." The album is supremely balanced despite its seasick churning, and its wandering, easily-distracted narrative voice. Most tracks have so much going on that it begins to feel like tectonic plates pulling in opposite directions, heaving two ways at once and leaving the listener dizzy and disoriented. It's Ryat's crystal clear, wriggling voice that's the glue just barely holding everything together."

Swift recovery and I look forward to 'hearing' your dulcet tones again soon.
Matthew Dear. Black City. On the very excellent Ghostly International label from 2010.
Tycho. Dive.
Another from Ghostly International from 2011. Very tempted to catch them live @ Londons Roundhouse next month.
