2017 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread can be found here;
Rachel Grimes - Book of Leaves
Solo piano after not the greatest night.
Just perfect for an autumn morning. Washing's on the line, recycling's done, dishwasher's emptied and tea's made. And the sun is coming out.
Keyon Harrold - Introducing Keyon Harrold
And more food for the soul to follow
Ryan Adams - 29
Piano, guitar, the odd drum, his voice and some good material. My needs are met.
One of the best shows in the Dick’s Picks series. Beautiful two-track recording by Owsley!
Van Morrison - A night in San Francisco
My favourites are Altenburg and Helium, but the rest of the album is great too...
Michael Mcdonalds early solo 70's trax before he joined the Doobies.

Ane Brun - It All Starts With One
Continuing on with exploring Ane's catalogue. I am enjoying her music......
I came across Ane Brun when I liked one the songs played in the background on a TV show, Bones I think it was, and looked it up to find out who'd done it. (I also did the same with Fever Ray's Keep The Streets Empty - some good stuff on Bones, apparently!).
Turned out it was The Light From One, from It All Starts With One. Great song. She also did a cool lump-in-the-throat orchestra backed live version of Björk's Jóga. Maybe slightly overwrought, but quite beautiful too.
The Fever Ray track too, just for good measure:
Tidal. Ane Brun - Changing Of The Seasons
1973 - vinyl - German pressing....
Houses of the Holy - LZ
Freddy Kempf - Chopin
If you like Chopin's ballades to be played a bit faster than usual, I can recommend this CD by Freddy Kempf.
(2014)
Commune from those whacky Scandi' psychedlics, Goat.
1969 - Vinyl - UK first pressing....
ITCOTCK - KC
Rag 'n Bone Man - Human.
No matter my mood, no matter the weather, this one is always a winner ............ what a voice! (IMHO).

Björk - Debut Live
Thanks to DAVE***T who pointed to Ann Brun doing a cover of Björk above which prompted me to play a Björk album.
Dave I also appreciate your comments regarding Ann Brun, I am enjoying her music. Love this forum, continually exploring music I may not have been exposed to......
Life is Grand!
Kathia Buniatishvili - Liszt
(2013)
More Bay Area fuzzy psychedelic rock, their latest but not their strongest album, that doesn't mean it's a bad one, they had already set the bar pretty high...
1969 - Double vinyl - UK first pressing...
On ancient vinyl
Why? Its true metal innit! (And the wife's out so I can blow the dust off the volume knob again)
steve
Sade - Promise on vinyl
Why? Just lovely singing & music, superb recording & shows off what the black circles can do.
Now Playing......
John Mellencamp - The Lonesome Jubilee
One of John's best...... a trip back to late 1980's Americana
