Solo piano after not the greatest night.

Just perfect for an autumn morning. Washing's on the line, recycling's done, dishwasher's emptied and tea's made. And the sun is coming out.

One of the best shows in the Dick’s Picks series.  Beautiful two-track recording by Owsley!

Ane Brun - It All Starts With One

Ane Brun - It All Starts With One

Continuing on with exploring Ane's catalogue.  I am enjoying her music......

I came across Ane Brun when I liked one the songs played in the background on a TV show, Bones I think it was, and looked it up to find out who'd done it.  (I also did the same with Fever Ray's Keep The Streets Empty - some good stuff on Bones, apparently!).

Turned out it was The Light From One, from It All Starts With One.  Great song.  She also did a cool lump-in-the-throat orchestra backed live version of Björk's Jóga.  Maybe slightly overwrought, but quite beautiful too.

The Fever Ray track too, just for good measure:

Freddy Kempf - Chopin

If you like Chopin's ballades to be played a bit faster than usual, I can recommend this CD by Freddy Kempf.

Björk - Debut Live

Thanks to DAVE***T who pointed to Ann Brun doing a cover of Björk above which prompted me to play a Björk album.

Dave I also appreciate your comments regarding Ann Brun, I am enjoying her music.  Love this forum, continually exploring music I may not have been exposed to......

More Bay Area fuzzy psychedelic rock, their latest but not their strongest album, that  doesn't mean it's a bad one, they had already set the bar  pretty high...
