2017 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread can be found here;
Nick Drake - Pink Moon
It's over too soon.
Continued to some more extreme material of John...
Im listening to the television but I'd much prefer to be listening to Saxaphone Colossus which arrived yesterday & only had chance to play one side so far & very good too.
My choice tomorrow

The Old George.
Nice disc that Mr T Jug, ours got stuck in my trucks CD player so Im not too popular on that one, have to replace it as theres no little hole to make it force eject.
Stonkingly good on vinyl. Wall to wall with great material over four 33 rpm discs containing 23 long tracks. Great value too at (generally) a little over £30.
John.
Now Playing......
Pat Metheny and Brad Mehldau - Metheny Mehldau
Pat Metheny (guitar), Brad Mehldau (Piano), Larry Grenadier (bass), and Jeff Ballard (drums)
Following the mention from JEROEN20 above, and loving Pat Metheny, I am taking this album out for a spin.
Double vinyl. Sounds a bit like a performance in an aircraft hangar, but fun music nonetheless.

John McLaughlin - Extrapolation (1969)/My Goal's Beyond (1970). Vinyl rip.
Excellent recording/mastering and music - on CD.

Robert Plant, Honeydrippers, Volume One. I so wish he'd recorded volume two. And three. And...
Wolf Alice, My Love is Cool, excellent album, reminds me of a modern Cranberries. Flac via Audirvana/Hugo
