Rachel Grimes - The Clearing
Played this from Tidal recently and ordered a CD copy, arrived today so ripped to NAS and giving it another listen. Fantastic album......
Funnily enough I was streaming this via Qobuz the other night. You're dead right when you say it's both excellent and something very different. I'm a fan of the group Rachel's too. Again, something cut from a very different cloth than most.
Now Playing......

Think I will join the Greg Brown love fest so I dug out an old unreleased official live recording of one of his gigs from 1996.
I love these performances by Brendel.
Dub - 40 Original Rough and Rugged Cuts.
A 2 CD compilation of the very best of old Skool dub ..................... something of a bargain over on The River at the mo'.
Sound Iration In Dub.
Next up, an old favourite late night listen ................. just the thing for a pre-bedtime chill.

Greg Brown - One More Goodnight Kiss
Ended the day with Greg, starting the next day with Greg......
Hi Seakayaker,
Noticed you have listened to quite a bit of GB recently. Any albums that particularly stand out. I like Covenant but he has a large catalog and not sure where to go next. A recommendation would be welcome.
Nigel, my favorite Greg Brown album at the moment is the 'The Poet Game,' I love the opening track 'Brand New '64 Dodge' and several of the songs on this album. The two albums that I have saved in my favorites at the moment are the Covenant and The Poet Game. I will continue to explore his catalogue moving forward, Greg has such solid lyrics, voice and music.
Great blues rock from two guys who know what they're doing, and it’s so good to still have Wilko with us.
I've just put a couple of Powerlines on my NAP135s and have been jumping between various tracks on the NDS just to hear their effect relative to MusicWorks mains cables. This is one of the albums I've tried, Damien Rice O.
And this one - sounding very relaxed. The cables seem to have tamed the top end a bit, not that it was overly bright before.

Cheers Seakayaker. I notice The Poet Game is on Tidal so I shall have a listen tomorrow. Agree with all your comments about Greg Brown. I am a bit peed off because I ordered Covenant on CD and it never showed up. I will need to reorder it. It is a belter.

Ane Brun - Leave Me Breathless
Listened to this a few days back and wanted to give it another spin...... Ane covers a collection of other musician's songs, and does it quite nicely.
Streaming from Tidal.
Tidal. Randy Crawford & Joe Sample - No Regrets
Rebuilt my machine so no longer had my Naim audio cookie...hadn't really used the forums in months. Had a lot of new music...some stuff so good I nearly logged in just to share the song. Well damnit here I am because of this song...why is it interesting? Because wow.
Someone gave me the vinyl for free and its in perfect condition.

Nils Frahm - Felt
Low key but the drive of this recording seems just right for this sunny morning.
I love this version of the Goldbergs. I'm supposed to be painting but the new plaster isn't dry enough yet. Never mind.
