2017 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread can be found here;
On vinyl...
Jimmy Rogers - Blues Blues Blues.
Jimmy's final album, with a stellar supporting cast .............. an essential album, to add to the collection, for all blues fans.

John Martyn - One World.
Some atmospheric chill choons from John Martyn ............... sadly missed.
Having played the Rock 'N' Roll album last night I thought I'd play disc three from the anthology set, which includes many of the studio cuts from that album. I've not played John for at least a year. That was a mistake.
(1970)
Wheeling out another old favourite from the time.
Just finished listening to Coltrane.
Now listening to Art Pepper.
Jonny Lang - Wander This World.
Almost nodded off to John Martyn earlier ............ time to WAKE UP!
Another one I haven't played for a while ...................... this guy must have Joe Bonamassa looking nervously over his shoulder.

Well, in my case, it could well be .............. what's your excuse?
More Lennon. This is one album where the ability to select and only play certain tracks on the NDS comes into its own! But there are some superb songs on here.

Its either alcohol, something else or attention span...
(2017)
Yet to buy this but is up their with his best IMHO
Clapton - Slowhand
Stonkingly fresh on 39 year old vinyl.
Now Playing......
Chuck Berry - Chuck.
Chuck Berry, rocking till the end .......................... sweet little rock 'n roller.
Is this one of the best Allan Holdsworth albums ever? A really good fusion album IMHO.
Steel Pulse - Caught You
Memory is sketchy but I think I may have seen them at RAR in Victoria Park in 78(?). Anyway stociously good on vintage vinyl.
Revisiting this intriguing exploration of the music that influenced the composer Béla Bartók.
On CD from a box of rarely listened to CDs, that a new Naim system makes you want to explore. Superbly recorded in 1998, interspersed with phonograph recordings from the early 1900's.
First Aid Kit - Stay Gold via Tidal
Another really good album from Julien
On second run quite interesting. Earlier this evening and shortly in the afternoon.
