What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol. XIII)

2017 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread can be found here;
Led Zeppelin lV - Jimmy's remaster.
You can never have too much Zep ................. and I can give this up any time I want ................... honest!

Everytime I post this I get one 'like'. How can a record this good only have two people who like it on the Naim forum?!
Hi Christopher. I downloaded it last week and have been enjoying it very much!

Tidal. Rumer - Seasons Of My Soul
Going with the mention from ERICH and taking Rumor out for a spin.......
The opening track demonstrates that she has a beautiful voice. Just about right for early Monday afternoon!
I have several of her albums and find they all enjoyable just beautiful relaxing music.
Yes, this is one incredibly beautiful album! Well worth the time to take out for a spin.......
This forum/thread is fantastic, having been exposed to so many musicians that I normally would not have come across. I will definitely be giving a run through of Rumor's catalogue.

Sounding rather fab ripped from the 2013 half-speed remaster (by Stan Ricker) Japanese pressed SuperViny box-set .
Excellent, Steve. My favourite Beatles album
I was planning to move on to Plant’s latest as part of my familiarisation before the gig (and because it’s really become a favourite after a few listens), but Dave’s post led me astray. (Battle is playing now, Sandy and Percy are so good together.) The volume is sneaking up, I have a very good SPL monitor, my ageing cat lies on me in the evening, she is deaf, when she turns round, stands up on me and glares at the speakers, it’s so loud that she’s feeling the pressure. The first time she did this, I put my hand on her chest and could feel it moving to the bass line.

One more by the fabs from the same 2013 MFSL vinyl ripped collection.
And in my view this is a close second.

Seakayaker, give Rumer's 'This Girl's in Love' and 'B Sides And Rarities' a spin. Both gorgeous albums. Have just stuck Seasons Of My Soul in the old Tidal queue.
You are right, this is a wonderful place to learn about great music that you might be unfamiliar with.
Now Playing......
Four Tet - New Energy
With the mention from CHRISTOPHER_M and the love expressed by PIXIES, KEANOKING and GIANLUIGI MAZZORANA, I needed to take this album out for a spin.
Very nice! Just what the doctor ordered for a relaxing Monday afternoon......
My 1st couple of listens left me thinking that I liked the songs, and it would probably be a grower. Another couple brought the album together for me, and now I think it’s a really fine album, Percy loves music, makes the music that inspires him at the time, doesn’t just relive his past glories, and usually makes music that gives me joy.
Kodo - Blessing Of The Earth.
Well, I've managed to escape from the endless Led Zep loop with some serious Japanese percussion ...... boom boom!
Erm, LOUD!!!!
Jon & Vangelis - The Friends Of Mr Cairo
On Vinyl
A rip of the Live album from the Super Deluxe set.
Sampler set from the pacakage.

I like browsing this thread; it gives me clues as to what to listen to, what to buy etc. but there's never enough time to fit it all in. It is also a reminder of some fine music from days past. This album, 'Abbey Road' was only the second album I bought, and what an album it is. This will definitely go on my imaginary list of albums to remember to play this week.

Well Ewen, you've certainly been promoting this album quite heavily over the last few days ................ so, to see what all the fuss is about, I'm Tidalising it right now ....................... not quite country, not quite bluegrass, a very good album indeed, great shout.

Can't say I have ever been a fan of hers in the past but love the lyrics (not something I usually bother with much) and love trax such as the opener and wicked.
Only see this up hopefully it is a taster of a new album as her first 2 albums were really good.
