Before?..
This album (just like myself) is ageing rather well.
Still a fantastic listen.
Nirvana - Nevermind
NAIM shines here. (Once I upgraded and dialed things in for Rock - Thanks Connon) . Still kicking myself for missing the Nirvana/Pearl jam MTV concert on the pier in Seattle back in the day. Don’t miss your concert opportunities! Skip that class!

Hi Bert, What do you think of this one? This album is starting to grow on me. At first listen I thought it was good, but not as good as I had hoped for. However, the last two days I have listened to this album twice and I am liking it more and more.
Regards, Jeroen.

Indeed, it is a superb album. Glad you’re enjoying it. There’s some great playing on there from a young Wayne Shorter.
Colin Steele Quartet - Diving for pearls
Exploring some new music.
Now Playing......
Tomasz Stanko - Bluish
Tomasz Stanko (trumpet), Jon Christensen (drums), and Arild Andersen (acoustic and electric bass)
Continuing to explore the Tomasz's catalogue.......
John Mclean - Parts Unknown.
Very nice jazz music John Mclean and his quartet (guitar, vibes, bass and drums).
Each important members of Chicago's jazz scene for two decades, guitarist McLean and bassist Sommers further solidified their musical rapport through touring and recording with vocalist Kurt Elling over the last several years. The seeds of "Parts Unknown" were planted after a Chicago performance of the duo with the dynamic New York vibist Joe Locke. Enlisting Chicago drummer Xavier Breaker, the group ended up recording this set of original, slippery, joyous and eclectic modern jazz gems. "...Clark Sommers plays with a rock-bottom, infectious groove...securely steeped in the jazz tradition." - JAZZ.COM
(2016)
One of my favourite (alternative) albums from last years.
‘Desire’s Magic Theatre’, a technicolour trip through the mind’s eye of UK songstress / vocalist / guitarist Rosalie Cunningham, whose signature approach to her craft stands boldly centre-stage, blending progressive dexterity and cabaret romp into a compelling, multi-faceted rock ‘n’ roll show. ‘Desire’s Magic Theatre’ draws inspiration from the rock operas of the late ’60s / early ’70s; musically, visually and lyrically, it touches on a variety of realms, including folk, prog, psychedelic, gothic and classic rock, making telling use of classical instruments and complex arrangements. - - Some Blurb
Jamie Cullum - Interlude
I have just had some potentially good news. This man's records are never far from joy. Seemed a good match. Might open a cold one at six.
Lizzzzz Wright - Dreaming Wide Awake
Listened to this on Tidal the other day, immediately bought the CD and am listening to the rip right now.
All I can say is.....'Wow'!
(2016)
I played a couple of Wolf People albums last week and wanted to give their latest another spin.
Al Petteway - Caledon Wood
Cheating a bit as I actually listened to this yesterday and didn't get time to post.
I can't remember who posted this originally but it is glorious. Superbly played acoustic guitar with a folk/celtic vibe. Wonderful.
Now playing.........
Lizz Wight - Dreaming Wide Awake
Going to join NIGELB and give this album a WOW! ......in fact I give Lizz Wright a WOW! Love all her music.......
Post work relaxation starts here -
Pink Floyd - DSOTM

It’s also growing on me. I would however liked to have more uptempo in like love, that would have made the album superb....
(1970)
Why? Because I sometimes like to give the 'Tops early blues rock stuff an airing, their early albums in particular were well recorded. This, their debut, was ripped from the first an original Warner Label 1987 CD and has a DR (dynamic range) of 15 and sounds wonderful.
