2017 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread can be found here;
Think I will make it a Blues fortnight.

Can't argue with that, you're talking my language ................. this should be interesting.
R.L. Burnside - Mississippi Hill Country Blues.
Raw country blues at it's best.

One of my least favourite Rush albums (I know, burn the heretic!), but still good, though.
"Grace Under Pressure" is much better...
This is the best, just a fact...., listen again to the camera eye and you will know it...
...after so many years still a treat....
Rush, Power Windows, been a couple of months since I listened to this end to end and what a fin album it is, along with Signals probably the best of the 80s albums in my view. The 2015 24 bit version sounds wonderful too. Pure pleasure courtesty of Canada's best, Audirvana and Hugo

Agreed, the best of the best, and the album, along with Farewell to Kings, that really got me hooked.

Interesting use of the word 'fact'!
I've listened many times, and I stand by my heretical opinion!
Fact just to spice up the conversation, everybody is entitled to have an opinion. I find the first period of Rush the best....later on with more keyboards etc isn't my favorite period...
On the original vinyl:-
Charlie Haden - Bass, Gonsalo Rualcaba - Piano, Ignacio Berroa - Drums, Joe Lavano - T David Sanchez - Tenor sax, Pat Metheny - Guitar, Frederico Britos Ruiz - Violin
Joe Walsh. You Bought It You Name It. On vinyl from 1983. Why? Because ILBTs.
Steely Dan. The Royal Scam. On vinyl from 1976. Up for a little pop/jazz infusion.
The first 5 albums up today.

Completely naïve to this album, but doesn't she look like she's getting ready to flip-off someone? Or maybe that's the intent?

(1975)
A classic to kick start the morning. This version "cleaned up" and remastered in 1998.
Just came out, initial impression good...
Testing this one now, got a great review in the classical Magazin Phono Forum...
BBC Radio 4 Mastertapes: Tom Jones Praise & Blame. Podcast download.
A fascinating insight into the background to the recording of a truly superb album.
Ready in the queue, the album itself.
Gosh, we thought this was anything but "soft rock" in 1979. Adult contemporary perhaps, mind you I was only 14!
This and city to city never fail to bring a smile to my face and a tap to my foot.
